I’ve been getting Reta from my Dr for the past 2 months. Not part of any clinical trials. And when I asked about where they were getting it, she said there is compounding in US that’s available for Dr. Anyone heard of this???

A lot of people get Reta and Tirz mixed up. Is the product she's giving you labeled? Is there a manufacturer name?
 
That’s what I thought…I’d come to that conclusion and decided I preferred my research and vetting to theirs. But fresh out of my appointment and asked her point blank and that’s what she said. Also, it’s not like she would/could say on the grey market, lol

But I figured, maybe I’d missed the memo?? She hand writes the prescription info (Retatrutide) and gives me preloaded syringes. This is my primary care, not telehealth or a medi/weight loss clinic- naturopathic leanings but a licensed doc

You should be looking for a new doctor if she's providing you with pre loaded syringes or Chinese peptides and lying about them being legally prescribed from us compounding pharmacies what else is she doing?

Something very wrong here. She writes the script and gives you the syringes? How much are these loaded syringes?

I hear ya. But I wanted to be sure there weren’t truly compounding pharmacies in US doing it- albeit not in compliance with the laws
 
When I have watched the likes of ''Dr Jones'' on YouTube, he tends to say he ''prescribes'' his patients to many peptides which are not FDA approved, so I wouldn't say they are legally giving out a prescription but maybe its just a term they use in the medical sector, but I know there are many of the US peptide sellers are using the similar term.
 
sounds pretty fishy. Are they giving you a prescription to fill at a pharmacy or selling it directly to you for like cash? sus.
 
Not a script. Just the prescription info- name, dose, etc. on the container with a 1 month supply. I’m micro dosing so it was only 1mg total for the month. But now that I’m typing all of this out…I prob should find a new doc 😆😆😆
Price was $20/mg and if I thought it was compounded in the US/tested etc
I might consider the extra cost/piece of mind

Yes- definitely meant mg! Between 2-3 units on a 1ml syringe- such a small amount you could barely see it.

I assume you mean mg if so she's marking up grey market peptides and charging you a 20x premium lmao you've gotta respect the hustle.

rofl .. sure we are doing our own compounding every time we mix up a batch of something. That's what this dude is doing. $20 per mg huh .. so 2mg a week (beginning dose) is an income of $173 a month. Then he gets people up to a 10mg a week dose and he's making $867 a month. How many patients does he have on this scheme? 10? 50? 100? He's probably got quite the little operation going for himself.

That being said I'm not so sure I would turn him in. While he is absolutely taking advantage of his patients .. he is probably also helping them lose weight .. many of whom might not have the ability or willingness to tackle the grey market on their own.

Oh .. and to answer the question .. what he is doing is not legal.
 
I know my Dr can get it from a compound pharmacy, but he has said he only does it if other GLP-1's have failed and other weight loss supplements haven't worked out. Kind of a nuclear option, so I respect that.
 
Yeahhhh that's sketchy. No doctor can prescribe reta it would be illegal in like 3 different ways. I would sooner trust the hot Chinese woman on telegram to get me illegal drugs than a doctor.

Possibility one: the doctor is lying. It's not reta, its tirz or something else, or maybe nothing. I'd send it into Janoshik.

Possibility two: the doctor is buying grey market peptides from China and giving them to his patients, which is actually the scariest possibly. At least the friendly telegram ladies are doing their job right.

He could just prescribe them tirz legally until Reta is approved. It's an ethical concern to me if he's wiling to give people gray market Reta and lie about what it is and where it's coming from, then what else is he willing to lie about? Can you be confident it's even real Reta? It could be saline for all you know.
 
Honestly this is bothering me a bit more now upon thinking about it.

Your PCP is selling you mystery chems for cash at an insane markup. This is a guy who is meant to operate within the system, he stops being a doctor when he does this.

Why is he doing this? Does he have money issues? Drug addiction? Gambling? Debts? I would be concered with why a doctor is willing to throw away his career being a drug dealer. This makes me trust doctors even less.

Call the police. This guy needs to be looked into. Buy your own reta from people who sell reta. We have vendors here who I would trust WAY more than this dirty doctor who definitely has some sort of baggage to be pulling this crap. Gather as much evidence as you can and bring it to the AMA, the police, the FDA etc. I don't trust Telegram to be my doctor, and I don't trust a doctor who wants to be Telegram. These worlds are not meant to overlap. Turn him in, do the right thing.

Another analogy would be a policeman who gives you speeding tickets, but only charges half price if you pay cash. Now remember that doctors are basically a law enforcement branch, and you will see the deeper issue here.

20 per mg???? Lol! Reta gray market is about 50cents per mg sometimes even less, and thats exactly what that dr. Is likely selling you!!! What a markup. Hey, ill sell you FDA approved prefilled reta syringes for 10 bucks a mg, save some money and i swear mine is manufactured by Lilly and is the best on the market!!!!

No. Reta is NOT legally available to anyone outside of the clinical trials. I o not care of elite of a doctor you think he is. Reta has not been approved by the FDA yet.
