CAT THREAD.

Also, I don't know whether we've discussed this, but my cat is fat. I have always free-fed cats, and never had an issue with overweight, but I got the one in my pic at six months and rail skinny, and took him to the vet at one year because he was sixteen pounds and I was scared and confused. The diagnosis was "he's fat" and the cause was "because he eats too much."

Since they don't make magic skinny shots for cats, I've gotten him down to 13.8 pounds by setting his and his life-partner's food to automatic feeders that go off in separate rooms. They are both extremely dramatic about how hungry they are (I weigh both those cats once a week, and they've maintained their 13.8 and 12.5 lb weight, respectively, for years), and I do not want them at ALL connecting "more food" with "Bother randompersonrandom and make her feel terrible." I'm like no, y'all, go talk to the robot.

We got the good news today that one of our OG kittie’s diabetes is in remission. His name is Qtip because he has a Qtip tail.

Another bit of good news. My husband has been working on a feral cat for almost a year. Got him trapped and neutered a little over two weeks ago. We ended up bringing him inside during the ice and snow and quarantining him. He is now making himself at home.

First pic is Qtip and second is Baby the former feral with his carnage.

Not sure what happened there but could not seem to be able to write anything with the pic. This is my little creature when she was a bit younger, still likes that pose so she can get head pats. And usually she does not bite you if you pat her in that position, otherwise she mostly wants to play and bite, usually without drawing too much blood.

Your cat looks sooo much like the stray that has been coming around. We put out dry and wet daily and have probably 6 cats, Olivers (the is what we call all the opossums, and raccoons who eat daily.

I am being bitten as we speak. The one in the forefront of this pic dearly loves to curl up on my lap, facing away from me, prop himself up on the arm of the couch so his head is in my armpit, and spend his time dreamily grabbing my hand, dragging it to his mouth, and chomping on it. He's a former feral who BEGGED to come and live with me until I broke and took him in about four years ago. He's the love of my life, and also he does not understand that humans do not enjoy it if you bite and claw them, not even if it's slowly and dreamily.

Oh nooo, you reported my teefersss. Now she is forever heartbroken!
Nothing happend, thank you for the warning 😉

To anyone discovering the cat thread for the first time: we changed the rule about being shunned if you don't change your profile pic to a cat, you can just post cats in here and we won't shun you.

Also, I am sitting on my bed, eating avocado toast because don't you dare judge me, and one cat is asleep but the other badly wants some avocado toast too. (No.)

When I was stationed in Guam we had 2 Siamese and I named the one lucky because she was lucky to alive. She would hide around every corner and would attack as you walk by.
Exactly that! Syrup’s favourite game was to hide at the corner of the open plan dog leg staircase and ambush you as you came up. I also have some hilarious photos of him attacking my Dad’s Achilles tendon in true “dog biting postie” stance 🤣

I'll never shoot down an oppertunity to show my very handsome young man, Desmond. I had him for about 5 years before I had to put him down due to health complications and not being able to afford it. Either way, I'm glad to have so many great pictures of him. Here he is

He is beautiful. I had a void I loved very much too. He died at 12.. I still miss him. His name was Obsidian, but I called him Siddy.
