It was recently found on STG that a vendor's mazdutide contained cresol, a highly toxic antiseptic. The only way that could have got in there is during the manufacturing process. It's not used in the lyophilizing process as there is no cresol (or metacresol) listed in the inactive ingredients. The excipients used in the lyophilization process are:

· Trometamol
· Mannitol
· Propylene glycol (for injection)
· Disodium edetate
· Dilute hydrochloric acid
· Sodium hydroxide
· Water for injections

None of these are or contain cresol.

Comments:
"There should never be enough cresol to have a lab put this on a coa
Sry had it one time and gave out refunds
But this isn’t normal
You should get a refund if this is in your peps
This is trash pep
Do not use this throw it only"

Old timers may remember last year when SRY had this issue (along with Paraben) and refunds were given.

Let's be careful out there people.

I believe Jano replied saying this was a common preservative used in insulin, if I am not mistaken.

Look at the COA again

(link deleted since COA is from a gb )

M-cresol is fine in concentrations of 3-4mg/ml or less.
From Meso in Analytical Lab Testing thread on Cresol, see attached. It's a poor choice for preservation, especially for GLPs. Insulin is not a GLP.

Also, Peter's comment doesn't pass judgement on whether it's good or bad, just that it's there. The peak also doesn't indicate volume because that test doesn't provide that. His comment on the test says it's also not counted among the impurities. Just like his Jeep endo test that just said 2306EU. He let others draw conclusions as to whether that was bad or not, and most drew the correct conclusion.

Your screenshot seems to make my point as it says that in multipens they use M-cresol or phenol...

It shouldn't be there anyway, but it's not automatically poison (depending on the dose) .

Yes, for reconstituted GLPs, I read that 0.2% is allowable. There is no reason for it to be in any lysophilized peptides in any quantity.
