Crypto wallet recommendations?

I had never heard of stablecoins. So (after quick research) are you saying to purchase a stablecoin like Tether (USDT) instead of Bitcoin for less fluctuation in my crypto account? Makes sense, thanks!
Or usdt which is super stable

BTC fees are way high, and if you're making relatively small purchases, they can be absolutely killer. Not worth in my opinion.

Learning to use stablecoins is only a teeny bit more difficult than learning bitcoin.

btc is simpler than stable coins. but the fees are higher and it's not stable. So unless you're quoted a price in btc you could lose $20-30 before the transaction goes through and then you've got to send more money.
oh screw THAT noise.

So, with tether it depends on the network.

Say the vendor takes USDT-sol. This is on the Solano network. You need a small amount of SOL in whatever wallet you want to send the USDT-sol from.

I'm not aware of any USDT that uses bitcoin for the network.
God this is SO much more helpful than crypto bro Youtube. Thank you!!

It's fine if the price is quoted in BTC though because then you're not responsible for the fluctuations. QSC had this problem so many times they switched to converting the USD to a BTC amount at the time the sale was requested. So they would say something like "Send X BTC within X hours" and then you no longer have to think about it.

Finally set up coinbase to buy then transfer to exodus but I'll be on hold for a week and won't be able to transfer until then. Not ideal. Hopefully that won't last long...

Same here. I bought on Coinbase on Saturday and it shows that my hold will be removed today by 4pm.

I buy with Strike and Trade with Exodus.
As for tracking- others may be able to comment
If you DM me your ref links for those I’ll go ahead and sign up. I wanted to DM you myself but IDK if I can’t find where to do it or if I’m too new lol.

i unloaded my belongings out of storage over this past 104F+ early summer stretch week+ 🥵 hopefully get the Trezor gear working with Exodus over the coming weekend. Thanks for this discussion folks; anybody using the deep storage 'metal' offline safe ? beginning to think BTC is a volatile "rat hole" commodity when you toss in transit fees...

My very recent noob (first time) crypto experience.

Opened up a Coinbase Account (not coinbase wallet) and used a bank transfer to purchase Bitcoin. The Bitcoin was immediately in my Coinbase account and I could freely trade it within the account if I wanted. But there was a 7 day hold so I couldn't transfer any of my Bitcoin out of the account (to make a purchase). This hold was lifted in exactly 7 days.

While waiting for the above hold to clear I opened up an Exodus Wallet account. After the above 7-day hold lifted I was able to transfer some Bitcoin from my Coinbase account to Exodus. I then sent Bitcoin from Exodus to a vendor to make a purchase. Very painless.

Next I decided I should have some more funds on-hand in my Coinbase wallet for future purchases. I did another bank transfer and these funds were immediately available to trade or transfer out. No more Holds.

It was a great learning experience.

This forum resonates with me because of the mind*uck I went through trying to figure out crypto. I watched several YT and read some Google recommendations. I loaded Exodus, Crypto, Wise and Coinbase.

Still, I felt like an idiot not able to accomplish the end result which was to successfully transfer funds to buy. I've heard and read CashApp. So I do have Cashapp and one day I was bored and playing around and BOOM...it looked like I was able to buy Bitcoin, asked for a friends crypto account address, after 4-5 tries I transferred $20.

I was a happy person. So I had a vendor in mind, we figured out an order, I bought enough Bitcoin to cover the order and room for fees and any mistake I might make. IT WENT THROUGH! I did this one more time and bought more. Somewhere I read that you're not able to or soon will not be able to buy Bitcoin and buy something using CashApp.

So I was bored one day and opened up my Wise account, looked at my info to transfer money to Wish, went back to CashApp bought some Bitcoin, went through the same steps that I did with the two previous purchases but this time i had my Wise account address and was able to send money to my Wish account.

Now in my Wise account I had money there. A few days later I wanted to buy product, figured out a total, they gave me an an account address and I was able to buy the product using Bitcoin I bought on CashApp through my Wise account. LOL...I am now able to do this again and again. Sorry for the novel but anyone that struggles to do down this rabbit hole...I understand!

I thought it would be fun to trade crypto, but the spread fees are a bummer. Any way to minimize that?
