My wife is on sema, but she wanted to try reta, and I started it with her. The first 2 mg poke was 2 days ago. Overnight my desire to eat anything at all vanished.

I do not have a problem with "food noise" but I could use some now, because eating just turned into a chore. I have to figure this out or I am going to an unhealthy place!

This is actually my very first GLP-1 experience, and it is pretty weird.

I’ve had the same response with 1 mg

I'm jealous of anyone who gets appetite suppression on Reta, because when I tried it, it just made me hungrier. Not only that, I craved sweets, which normally don't sway me because I'm a cheese and pasta girl.

Maybe the fact that it's your very first GLP-1 has something to do with it? Or you're just lucky!

I had very strong suppression for about 2 days, then my appetite started to return. It's still about half of normal. Not what I expected from what I read about reta. But, we all get a different ride, I guess.

I was on Tirz for 4 months then switched to reta. The suppression is very different, like food no longer exists. On Tirz it was in the back of my mind but extremely easy to control. However…I’m on 2mg of reta a week after stopping 10mg of Tirz, Like you I get hungry about 5 days in albeit without food noise. I think once I go up the doses it’ll be much the same as Tirzepitide.

It's been a few more weeks on 2 mg reta and my appetite has increased somewhat ... But it is still highly suppressed overall. It's actually a good spot for me, for the first couple of weeks eating was too much effort. Now, when I know I have to eat, I don't mind it at least.

If I could stay just like this it would be great... Haven't hit a plateau yet. 🤞

Go up to 2.5mg if you’re struggling and see how it is. I prefer the way the reta works with it much like you. Can eat but more control and for me absolutely no food noise!
