My wife is on sema, but she wanted to try reta, and I started it with her. The first 2 mg poke was 2 days ago. Overnight my desire to eat anything at all vanished.

I do not have a problem with "food noise" but I could use some now, because eating just turned into a chore. I have to figure this out or I am going to an unhealthy place!

This is actually my very first GLP-1 experience, and it is pretty weird.

I’ve had the same response with 1 mg

I'm jealous of anyone who gets appetite suppression on Reta, because when I tried it, it just made me hungrier. Not only that, I craved sweets, which normally don't sway me because I'm a cheese and pasta girl.

Maybe the fact that it's your very first GLP-1 has something to do with it? Or you're just lucky!

I had very strong suppression for about 2 days, then my appetite started to return. It's still about half of normal. Not what I expected from what I read about reta. But, we all get a different ride, I guess.

I was on Tirz for 4 months then switched to reta. The suppression is very different, like food no longer exists. On Tirz it was in the back of my mind but extremely easy to control. However…I’m on 2mg of reta a week after stopping 10mg of Tirz, Like you I get hungry about 5 days in albeit without food noise. I think once I go up the doses it’ll be much the same as Tirzepitide.

It's been a few more weeks on 2 mg reta and my appetite has increased somewhat ... But it is still highly suppressed overall. It's actually a good spot for me, for the first couple of weeks eating was too much effort. Now, when I know I have to eat, I don't mind it at least.

If I could stay just like this it would be great... Haven't hit a plateau yet. 🤞

Go up to 2.5mg if you’re struggling and see how it is. I prefer the way the reta works with it much like you. Can eat but more control and for me absolutely no food noise!

I stated on 2mg, then 5 days later i was still appetite suppressed, so did 1mg. As it compounds, I knew that around 2mg was a sweet spot for me.

Slowly upped 0.5mg every 10 days.

I felt 0 hunger after 12h from my first shot, and I havent been hungry since. Started 3 weeks ago

I’m waiting in my first shipment, super nervous about having to reconstitute and inject myself . With all that being said said I’m on 2.3 mg of nicotine patch and let me just say that has completely turn off all food noise and has given me much needed energy I have been lacking all my life.
You can google the nicotine patch protocol.
Basically you buy a patch and cut to desire dose and put that little patch under your arm.
Said to fix so many problems.

I've had a really positive experience with retatrutide. Even at low doses, it seems effective for me. It helps set the stage for building healthier habits. The appetite suppression can be hit or miss depending on the person. For example, I usually lose my appetite the day after my injection, but it tends to come back later.

What I really appreciate is that retatrutide doesn't just quiet the "food noise". It also seems to pair well with exercise. Thanks to its glucagon effect, I actually feel a subtle boost of energy, which is a nice bonus when working out. From what I've observed and read, many people find their sweet spot at around 4mg per week, but everyone's different. My advice: start low, go slow, and find what works for you!

From what I’ve read, that’s the glucagon component.
Anecdotally, runners who are taking Retatrutide reported increased running speed and efficiency has noticeably gone up. Some of that could be because they are carrying less weight, but there is also the possibility that some of it is due to the GCGR effect of Retatrutide.

Someone posted a really cool graphic months ago- it showed the various GLP-1 effects of each single, double, and triple, influencing peptide (pardon my rudimentary description) but it had each strength and weakness and explained a little how each worked.
I found it very interesting in how it described Sema's ability to do more for satiety, while reta performed so much better on weight loss per month.
