How does this Discord thing work? I joined and went to a server from a link from this forum where there’s a bunch of people but nothing is happening! 😆 I don’t get it.

I was not a social media person before joining this forum & another at the same time. From the other forum, i linked to DC & TG, Peppys & PGB. I am on them mostly just to read, but interact more on TG and the other forum. There's alot to learn on them, except DC. I see DC more as a sales venue for the most part from the servers I linked to. I lurked, literally for months before joining my first 2 boards to answer most of my questions and become informed. DC is so archaic to me as well.

It depends on the server. Some servers are just backups and not alot of activity. Others are pretty active. You will find some have a discord server, TG account , what's app, email , discourse and pepchat.
