Drop Your Numbers

That is great! I didn't even think about my bloodwork. Not diabetic but was heading that way. Went from a 5.7 down to 4.9.
GLP has done miracles for my diabetes, also found the motivation to get in the gym, eat better & care just because of how well it works for me! Keep goibg

Starting weight: 255 lbs on 1/6/25
Weight when I started reta: 212 on 1/5/26 (after doing dirty keto for a year)
Current weight: 179
Goal weight: 165 (may go lower, idk yet. I'm 5' 9" so it probably won't be much lower)

Started at 0.5mg of reta. I am now up to 4mg every 6-7 days or so
Hi Sheilarae,
Great progress 255 to 179 is huge.
At your height, 165 sounds like a solid goal, but you’re getting into that phase where how you feel matters more than the scale.

Are you still losing steadily at 4mg, or starting to plateau?

I have been losing 1-2lbs a week the entire time I have been on reta, no matter what my diet has been like the previous week. Since I have been at 4mg, I have noticed more body recomposition. I can actually see the muscles in my arms getting bigger. Weird thing is, I don't train hard at all.

That’s actually a great spot to be in; Steady 1–2 lbs a week the whole time is about as dialed as it gets.

The recomposition piece is interesting too. Even without heavy training, dropping fat can make existing muscle show a lot more, so it can look like you’re “gaining” size when it’s really just being revealed.

SW (also HW): 238lbs October 2025
CW: 185lbs April 2026

Started on Tirz in October 2025. Got up to 10mg then started moving to Reta five weeks ago.

Currently at 8mg Reta and 5mg Tirz (three days apart).
I have not done Tirz, so I’m curious if you dropped down to 5mg of Tirz when you started Reta, or dropped dosage over 5 weeks?

Thank you!

I started Reta at 4mg and dropped Tirz to 7.5mg. I stayed there for 4 weeks. I titrated Reta up to 8mg and took Tirz down to 5mg. Gonna do this a month. Evaluate how I feel/progress. But may stay here with both for awhile or drop Tirz completely. And just be on Reta for a month.

Appreciate the info. It seems like a lot of people are stacking the two.

My RS was on Wegovy for about 2 months. After switching to Reta and stopping Wegovy, I wasn’t sure Reta was even working since Wegovy suppressed appetite so strongly.

Have you used Reta before? If not, did the lighter appetite suppression make you question whether the Reta was working after lowing the Tirz dosage?

I apologize for the simple questions. I’m interested in the stack for the future as I do miss the strong hunger suppression, and I do appreciate the help!

36 year old female
Start Weight: 252
Current Weight: 207
Timeframe: 1 year in early March
Protocol: Much variation of tirzepatide doses starting in June of last year. I also took a few months break at one point because I was having very heavy periods and trying to rule out causes. I regained some during that.

Current: 5mg of tirz every 5 days and on ramp of retatrutide currently at 2 mg and titrating up from there. Making progress again on that.

Down 45 lbs

12/12/2025 282lb, started Tirz, started split dosing 3rd week.
1/10/2025 272lb, started bridge to Reta.
4/17/2025 235lb, Reta, 7-8mg 2x/week split dosing

47lb in 18 weeks= 2.6lb/week, 17% less starting weight. Spot on for averaging 1% lost week over week.

I’d like to know, in this order:
1. What dose of Tirz you had reached.

2. How long the bridge phase from Tirz to Reta lasted, and in detail how you managed the dosing during that transition.

3. Whether, as your current Reta dose seems to suggest, you can confirm that you didn’t experience strong side effects with either Tirz or Reta.

I’m trying to make this transition myself, but it seems impossible. For context, I had issues and strong side effects with Tirz, and in six months I only reached 2.75 mg. With the first 2.5 mg dose, taken somewhat naively, I genuinely thought I was risking gastroparesis, I restarted at 1 mg.

Had Weight Loss Surgery in 09, got down to 250lbs. Got back up to 392 about 3 years ago, blah blah something something. Started Compounded Tirz 2.5 yrs ago at 325, got me down to 210 and Reta got me to 176. Usually able to maintain 180ish, with 1mg of Tirz & 1mg of Reta weekly. Fun fact: I'm mid 50's (not fun) my weight loss surgeon is the one who got me onto Grey Market peptides and I was never Diabetic.
Congratulations on all of that, probably the best weight loss success story I have seen on here yet! I have often argued that people need to stay on the usually higher doses of GLP drugs used to lose the weight , but clearly you are not needing high doses to maintain. And impressed the surgeon recommended the grey glp drugs.

me:
Start weight 2022 145kg
75kg or so 2023, diet only
started ozempic 2024
swapped to grey tirzepatide 15mg and reta 5mg 2025
GLP drugs are to make keeping the weight off less difficult and reduce hunger
current 65kg

I've got a very muscular/athletic frame so less than 130 would be leaning unhealthy for me with excessive muscle loss. I don't want to be 'skinny'.
Tirz only. Started 2.5, now 10 weeks in on 7.5. Just pinned dose 3 of 7.5 today.
Not lost much in the last 2+ weeks since upping my dose though so we will see. Actually gained 3 pounds after suddenly loosing 4 this past week. Not sure what to think other than the new vial isn't controlling my appetite as well or I need to split dose.

You’ve made great progress already.
Those ups and downs can be so confusing, they’ve driven me crazy at times too, hopefully it’s just a temporary phase.
If you’re not eating above your needs, it’s likely just one of those normal fluctuations
Men are lucky… they don’t have these water retention swings

All good! No, I didn't question the Reta working. Because I just felt ... different. Like my energy was back and better than just on Tirz. My workouts were hitting harder in the gym. I did get some food aversion from stacking the two - but I fought through it. And that let me know that it was okay to go down on my Tirz some more. I was on 7.5mg Tirz, pinning it three days after the 4mg of Reta. Now my Reta is at 8mg and Tirz three days later at 5mg. Gonna try next month taking Tirz out completely for about a month. See how it goes.

Yes the inconsistencies of my hormones no doubt also play a role in nothing being predictable. Boo!

I think the biggest negative has been the extra fatigue from the tirz/losing the weight. I'm so lazy now. Honestly I think it's going to be the bigger reason my muscle tone/ mass goes down is the lack of movement daily versus the effect of the tirz itself depleting it.

I keep hoping my energy will come back but some days I'm sleeping 13 hours and wanting a nap. It's making me a crap mom. My husband has been picking up my slack but I'm not enjoying it.

Thank you, appreciate it. It's a fight for sure, the GLP's just hit well for me.

SW: 260 lb - June 2024 - Used sema for 9 months, lost 90 lb on once-weekly dosing, slowly titrated up to max dose 2.5mg
SWITCH WEIGHT: 170 lb - March 2025 - went to reta "cold turkey" (no overlap or gap), from 2.5mg sema to 2.0mg reta. Quickly titrated up to 3.3mg reta once weekly, then slowly to 5 mg.
GW: 160 lb - hit it in April 2025, one month into reta.
CW: 142 lb - I've been on reta for maintenance for a year. This week I'm at 6.4mg, working my way back down to 5 or 6 after losing some vacay weight. I adjust my dose in small increments pretty frequently, and generally stay between 5-7mg. Always once per week.

Congrats on your progress!

We have similar somewhat stats. I'm 5'8", started GLP1s at 260 lb. My original goal was 160 lb, but I decided to go a bit lower and ended up around 145 (+/- around 3 lb fluctuation). I definitely don't want to go lower, but at 160 some of my favorite clothes were still a little tight and the extra 15lb loss got me where I truly feel the most comfotable.

Mantenance, for me, took a while to adjust to. I tweak my reta dosage by small amounts constantly to not let the food noise creep back, but not gain significant weight.

I feel the same kind of fatigue, for me it still hasn’t eased.
It doesn’t make you a bad mom at all, it just means your body is carrying a lot while you’re trying to take care of yourself.
Losing weight is still gaining health, for you and for your kids. And even if this phase feels heavy, you’re doing something important for yourself.
I've read that it improves over time, or at least eases once things stabilize, when your body settles, the dose stops increasing, and you get closer to maintenance... but I'm starting to have serious doubts lol

HW: 108 kg / 238 lbs
CW: 59 kg / 130 lbs
GW: 55 kg / 120 lbs

My weight journey:
It’s a chaotic series with too many plot twists and no budget for continuity.

Mason gastroplasty at 85 kg / 188 lbs
-> reach goal weight in 2 years, main‑character energy.

Then:
-> regain to 70 kg / 154 lbs
-> back to 55 kg / 120 lbs with the Mediterranean diet
-> regain to 65 kg / 144 lbs
-> depression after my sister passed away (very young, cancer)
-> weight launches itself to 108 kg / 238 lbs like a SpaceX test flight

Kidney cancer surgery
-> Mediterranean diet takes me from 108 kg / 238 lbs to 55 kg / 120 lbs
-> regain to 75 kg / 165 lbs
-> back to 55 kg / 120 lbs with keto

Then I try keto again and my metabolism is like:
“Error 404: Metabolism not found.”
Dead. Buried. Decomposed.
Ghost mode: floating above me whispering,
“Girl… stop embarrassing yourself.”

I could starve, reverse diet, live at the gym…
The scale:
“You made bad choices before, don’t drag me into this.”

After 3–4 weeks of cosmic hunger, food noise goes full nightclub:
bread! pasta! pizza! cheese! sweets!
My brain = Coachella.

In Italy I can’t get Tirz: not diabetic + “only” 20 kg / 44 lbs overweight = denied.
Not considered “GLP‑1 obesity” unless you collect comorbidities like Pokemon cards.

I don’t do grey.
Grey is a color, not a lifestyle.

Then my Romanian friend goes:
“Come to Bucharest, we fix this.”

So I fly back to Italy with Lily pens in my suitcase, sweating like a drug mule and praying:
“God please don’t let them confiscate ANYTHING.”

First Tirz pin on November 1st, 2025 weight: 75 kg / 165 lbs.
Instant enlightenment.
Love. Devotion.
For the first time since adolescence, I felt NORMAL.

Then I fell in love with grey…
but that’s Season 2.

Thank you. Last time I weighed that much I got down to 162 and was starting to look TOO thin, but that was 20 years ago. I will see what 165 looks like now that I'm older and I'm sure the fat has distributed differently. Plus I concentrated more on weight training and rebounding this time as opposed to pilates and cardio last time.

I was going to post this same question soon.

Age: 60
Height: 6'0"
SW: 202
Starting BF%: 28%

After 3 Months:
Weight: 170 (goal achieved@)
BF%: 14

After 5 Months:
Weight: 169
BF%: 10.4

I reached my goal and I'm finally putting muscle back on! Not gonna lie, I do enjoy going to dinner with my girlfriend and turning as many heads as her!

Started reta on 11/30/25 start weight 267. Current weight 222 and currently at 4mg. Sprinkle in some MotsC, Slu-pp-332, SS-31, Tesa, CJC, Ipa, BPC, TB, KPV, GHKcu, test cyp, and an epitalon round.
Just had neck surgery, c6 corpectomy, so recovering from that and have been taking 1mg of bpc twice a day along with ghk and kpv. Dropped everything else for a moment until I recover a bit more.
