Drugs that spare muscle

Enobosarm (aka Ostarine or MK-2866) is another one besides SLU-PP-332 that I'm hoping to test out soon. Wary of doubling up now while I'm playing with slupp, since I'd like to know which one's doing the heavy lifting, if either give me results; but it's definitely on my radar.

I'm planning on that one too. Once I have the cagri:sema ratio to 1:1 I'm going to get blood work and if it all checks out liver wise, I'm going for it. Hopefully by then I'm less shy in the gym and will be brave enough to start trying weights instead of just cardio.

Few thoughts here:

1. No one cares what you're doing at the gym, trust me haha. Most people are there to get their workout in / bro down. Loads of roided out bros aren't judgemental at all. They prob have the worst body image issues in the place. They also tend to respect those who put effort in, regardless of their body composition. Plus, you don't know someone's story, so don't judge.
2. SARMs will still shut down your HPTA / Natural Test production at most dosages. If you plan on running Ostarine, run it low. I'm sure there's studies out there on this like this one: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3177038/. From this study: 0.1 mg and 0.3 mg did nothing. At 1mg and 3mg total T dropped a bit, LH, FSH and Free T dropped by only a small amount. 3mg group gained 1.3kg of LBM. If that's the route you want to go, maybe take max 5 mg a day.
3. Adequate protein intake. I've seen people eat as low as 0.5 grams / lb of body weight and maintain their muscle mass while resistance training. I tend to stick around 1 gram / lb of body weight, anything after that I found my digestion takes a hit.
4. If you are to shy to workout at the gym, get some resistance bands and start at home. Their dirt cheap and tons of videos on YouTube to cover everything you need.

1. 100% a me problem. I'm very shy and I'll be going alone.
2. Plan was definitely to start super low. Thank you for the dosage suggestions! I just don't want to lose all my muscle, by the time summer hits I want to be biking/hiking/swimming again on a regular basis.
3. Working on the protein, thank you for the reminder!
4. I've been using a stationary bike at home, signing up at the gym was my next step.

1. I used to be super shy. After a while I realized all people have the same wants / needs out of life. Talk about your feelings, confidence issues, dreams, etc... Everyone wants to feel sexy, appreciated, have a support system, bitch about your inevitable work nemesis (fuck you Saman), and for the most part we all share the same insecurities. TL DR: Get out there and accomplish your goals.

2. Swimming should be no problem considering you live under the sea. It's seriously fantastic exercise. Super low impact, burns a ton of calories. Hopefully you live somewhere that doesn't have a ton of snow / cold weather.

4. I have a bike placed in front of my TV. Do I go slower sometimes when things get juicy (I watch a fair amount of trash reality TV with my partner)? Of course haha. It's better than nothing though.

The overwhelming majority of people at the gym are at worst totally uninterested in you and often actively friendly and welcoming. Happy to help you use a machine if you're not sure on how it works, happy to give you a spot if needed. But for the most part, they'll gladly just leave you alone.

If you're going to the gym regularly, you've got your own goals and snooping on other people is going to be actively counterproductive to you getting in, doing your work, and getting out.

The exception is the current plague of "influencers" that set up their phones on tripods in the aisles and sometimes farm outrage content for engagement. The amount of those you have to deal with will depend on your location and the specific gym you're in.

Personally I hate waiting for machines and not being in control of the music and don't want to wear headphones, so I built out a home gym instead.

I'm fully aware it's ridiculous. 🥲

ask a meathead to show you around and the machines and all. Most of us, the ones that live for the gym actually get excited to show someone around. I always see people looking around the gym wanting to join. I will approach them and ask if they want me to show them around. Other than that I’m completely unapproachable on the outside. And that’s my issue. But inside im always down to help someone.

I tried Ostarine for 5 weeks with resistance training. Per Dexascans, it added substantial muscle mass. However it tanked my testosterone level. When I started Osta my Test was around 400 (already lowish) but after 5 weeks it had dropped to 181. So I noped out of it.

Oof, that's pretty severe. Mind if I ask what dosage?

Yeah. All the sarms are suppressive from my understanding. Gotta run a test base and hope your natural production comes back or be prepared to potentially do TRT for life.

Pharmacological studies in diet-induced obese mouse models demonstrate that ALK7 silencing in adipose tissue led to improved body composition, with an approximate 50% reduction in fat mass with preservation of lean mass. Furthermore, co-treatment of tirzepatide, a GLP-1/GIP receptor co-agonist, with ALK7 siRNA enhanced the therapeutic benefits versus tirzepatide monotherapy, with additive effects on body weight and fat mass reduction while ameliorating the significant loss of lean mass associated with tirzepatide monotherapy. Lastly, body fat loss in mice with ALK7 silencing was attributed to increased energy expenditure and lipolysis without a change in food intake, suggesting that the effect was due to fat being metabolized as opposed to caloric reduction."

Do they mention a dose?
