I have been taking the Bulk Supplement brand for a few weeks now. Not sure if it's doing anything? Definitely don't "feel" anything.
Curious if any of you have tried adding ketones to your routine and what, if any, results you've seen.

I’ve considered taking them only to assist getting into ketosis while eating keto or to boost blood ketone levels higher than my body produces naturally.

Only way that I know if a supplement is working is to get a baseline blood test before starting and regular testing while supplementing. People react differently to supplements and not everyone will experience a physical response but the blood tests show otherwise.

I have a KetoMojo but wasn’t successful getting into ketosis for the couple of times I’ve tried while on a glp-1. That’s when I looked into exo ketones but never pulled the trigger….maybe after the holidays.

You can buy some fairly affordable urinalysis strips off Amazon that can check Ketone levels.

In the case of exogenous ketones, the strips won’t work because they measure acetoacetate (AcAc) levels in urine which are not the type of ketone body found in exo ketone supplements. Beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) is most commonly used in exo ketones and requires a finger prick (blood sample) to measure ketones.

I looked at the product packaging and it contains “raspberry ketones” which are not ketone bodies and may be why you aren’t feeling what you might expect if you were naturally in ketosis.

From my research, D-beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) salts and BHB esters are bio-identical forms of ketones. The later raises blood ketones levels higher than the salts form but is also fairly expensive.

I’m looking at Nutricost powder as an option but taking a half dose - 5.75 grams BHB 1x or 2x daily. It’s unflavored so will likely mix with something.

FWIW, I recently read that a new type of CGM (continuous glucose monitor) is in development -- the CGM/CKM. Adds continuous ketone monitoring for T1D. There is a lot of speculation that, just like their CGM, there will be a non-Rx version for non-diabetics minding their ketones.
