Hey everyone!

Just joined the scene and I'm trying to get a picture of how dicey ordering gray market stuff is actually in Europe/specifically Germany.

I guess the lowest risk would be to order directly from a warehouse here in Germany so there are no customs issues but it looks like the only one that existed was SSA which went dark a couple of weeks ago.

Now the next best option seems to be supply from other EU countries, like the GYC France warehouse but I'm still kind of hesitant not being clear on what the actual risks are for ordering to Germany. Would be grateful to hear any experiences from my fellow Germans: Is there any concrete risk of legal action against you or is it just a matter of stuff getting seized when it crosses the border and losing out on an order? It would suck to lose some money but it wouldn't be the end of the world.

Next concern would be getting ahold of some quality BAC water, seems its not as available as I first thought...

Happy to hear your thoughts and experiences!

For Europe, I think, most of the Chinese vendors send to a EU country and then repack and send to your country.
All my parcels went to Germany first, repacked and to Denmark, and there was never a problem.

Okay, so no issues on your end so far? Just worried about any potential legal risk. Never heard of anyone getting seriously in trouble?

good to know, i order alot of other stuff from china that comes through holland or sweden, but was a little scared for danish customs regarding this kind of order, because if it come direct from china they sometimes open the parcels 😅

Yes, and China knows ;-)

A few of the vendors would use shipping companies / freight forwarders to get the products in the EU - often into Germany. From there, the DHL label would be scanned, and it would continue its journey to the next country. Those were the arrangements I preferred, thinking that if it did get confiscated it's best for it to be taken in a country I don't live in. A few times though the vendors said it would pass through Germany, and then it would show up directly in my country via China. I guess the warehouse had some discretion that the salespeoeple didn't always get to know about. I never had any issues with those, but I wish they hadn't have done that. So definitely something to ask before hand - where the package will actually clear.
