Just a few tips for people that are not used to forums.
1) This is not a chat room. The forum is broken into categories and then Topics.
Try to pick the best category and then title your topic something specific that will let people know what the conversation is going to be about.
Try to keep the conversation somewhat on topic. i.e. if you have a question, consider starting a NEW topic (also do a search for another relevant topic first). You can even tag the person or post from the other topic. Definitely DON'T go into the most active thread and ask a completely unrelated question.
2) You can compose a longer message that includes multiple replies. You can also edit your previous message if you thought of something else.
3) Read the entire thread before commenting. If you're at a party and walk into the middle of a conversation it's forgivable to not know what everyone else has already said. In a forum it's just lazy and rude.
