Yeah, but that's not what it was. It was independently being organized with Barn as the vendor, inside the Barn TG (with the vendor's permission), but Barn had nothing to do with the organization.

to be honest after this event unfolding i actually feel better about all the group buys i take part in. not that ive had any issues before but seeing how the communities respond to someone doing that makes me feel even more comfortable that people wouldn't risk exposing themselves to these type of people in the grey space. at least as compared to some random person in China that couldn't care less if some angry Americans figured out who they really are lol

GBOs are basically another middleperson. They take a cut from the sale. The only difference is that they are easier to dox than a Chinese vendor being more local and all.

Actually if you wanted to do real damage to a Chinese vendor, all you need to do is expose them on Douyin or Rednote. Chinese people are brutal when it comes to exposing scammers, cheaters, and such. The entire country will know. The only issue is finding out the real name and the face associated with the vendor's ai image.

really? interesting, i am ignorant on the matter of how the Chinese handle such matters so thats cool. and i can imagine it would be hard to figure out who they really are.

ya i know they take a cut, im fine with that when im getting my t30 kits for $50 each and have a built in testing community to easily get all my fancy tests.
i did find out how easy it is to talk them down recently. sent an inquiry about R30 kits and asked if i wanted to start my own gb could i get them for $100. she actually countered and said she could do $90, so they just be throwing deals at you if you ask lol
