Gotcha. The ones I've seen have been individuals starting it, and going to a specific vendor for the product. A true group buy is more like you and a bunch of neighbors getting together to get a great price on new fences, with Mary on the corner helping organize everything and collect the funds. If Mary sells fences for a living, she's a VENDOR and it's not a group buy.

Hell, it seems no less risky than buying as an individual, for what? 5% discount and the additional risk of extending the supply chain..Pretty much. You pay in advance to the vendor, wait for MOQ to be met, wait a long time for shipment, then pray said vendor doesn't run away with your money. Once stock eventually arrives, pray the vendor sends you what you ordered.
Me? I'll never do one, as I don't know these people, nor do I trust them. Plus I don't like waiting...no matter how good the prices may be. Hard pass.

Actually, I'm still new enough to all of this to remember what it cost me through a doctor and I am still ahead of the game if I lose 2 or 3 T30 kits at $90/ea than if I was paying the traditional route plus another few $$ for testing. Still ahead. I'll probably get super-jaded and cynical at some point but I'm not there yet thankfully.All it takes is one buy going south and then you haven't saved any money at all.

And don't group buys send a vial to be tested. I thought that was primary benefit of a group buy.A vendor has reputation to lose if they just take the money and run. But a GB operator? Why would they care? I was talking to a friend the other day where she said she was part of a GB that had over $187,000 worth between everyone...that operator could easily just take that money and you'd never hear from them again.
