I do not remember hearing anything ever about GLP drugs causing kidney problems except in one very specific situation, otherwise they slow the progression of renal failure and can improve renal function and reduce protein excretion.
If you have that exact problem where they can cause renal failure, then the advice is always going to be to stop it, as the only issue is dehydration due to uncontrolled vomiting or diarrhoea as a side effect or from overdoses where the dehydration can then cause acute kidney failure.
So on the whole not solid medical advice.
