General statements about losing a given weight per week are asinine. Week over week percentage change is much better at illustrating the variability of weight and differences in metabolic rates. A 5’120lb person and a 6’4” 375lb person likely shouldn’t both target the same pound figure. Weight loss speed can be overly fast or overly slow, depending on goals.
Personally, I want to lose it relatively as fast as I practically can, comfortably, while maintaining lean mass. So far that works out to 1-1.1% lost per week which averages out to 2.6lb/week. As my weight decreases, so does my weight loss target in terms of pounds. On a rolling 7 day period I’ve lost as much as 6lb and gained as much as 4lb… like with caloric budgets longer averages matter more than shorter sampling periods.
Reta’s effectiveness over Tirz is GCGR. I don’t know how to measure that, but it’s not appetite suppression. I’ve escalated my dose mainly based on side effects, although I didn’t have any of note until I got above trail levels and they were short lived and mild. GCGR is only good for 100-300cal/day it seems, but the catabolic protection seems to also be real. Appetite control hasn’t been an issue or reason I’ve moved up my dose.
I elevated my dose to improve my odds of reducing my weight by a third without hitting a plateau or having to stack. On the high side I hope I get to my target and have to reduce my dose to maintain, or to say another way I hope my equilibrium point at this dose is below my target.

This doesn’t include the 3 weeks I was on Tirz.

2-3kg is 4.4-6.6lb
