Been on Tirz for 7 months, lost 50 lbs, 35 to go. But my hair won't stop falling out in alarming amounts since ~December. The only reason it's not noticeable right away is that I had a TON of hair to start. But now when I gather into a pony tail, the volume is noticeably MUCH thinner. I'm certain it's from Tirz, but to compound the problem, I'm 47 and also in perimenopause, so that is not helping.

It just won't stop falling out. Like a tribble's worth of hair comes out every time I shower, clogs the drain if I don't pull it out into the trash as I go. It's not only gross, but it's starting to freak me out. I've got expensive-ass vitamins (Nutrafol) ordered, started adding bovine collagen peptides to my coffee, trying to prioritize my daily protein. I take the GLOW protocol 5x/week. And I just started low-dose estrogen patches (.025 mc 2x/wk) and compounded testosterone cream (.5gram 1x/wk) from my menopause specialist.

Anyone tried anything that works?

I wanted to stay away from oral or topical minoxidil because I heard that once you start, you need to take it indefinitely and that even more shedding will happen at the beginning.

I'm in a similar boat. Did a bunch of research. I take a hair/nails biotin vitamin along with my high quality daily, but most of the solutions seem like snake-oil to me. Now that I'm out of the 'latest and greatest diet plan' game I've been playing for the last 20 years, I'd like to decline being taken advantage of further. Same thing with loose skin - the solution seems to be time (maybe) and surgery. My plan is to embrace the entire spectrum of the 'gifts' of this medicine and spend my money on clothes and accessories to focus on the positive.

Yup, CldFront has it right. No sense fighting it. And BTW, that Tribble reference made me snort my tea into my nose. — No fair being so funny.

I am going Biotin/Rosemary Oil/and I did a couple of months of BPC157 with GHK-Cu subq and topical, but got busy and can’t keep current with all of it. Began Tirz May, dropped 50+, hair loss at six/nine months and the frightening handful of hair after shampooing is JUST starting to slow down now as I begin messing about with maintenance. I am too happy that my Ursula the Sea Witch swimsuit no longer fits and falls off me to worry about the loose skin/hair loss. However, I am sucking up collagen supplements when I remember . . . I am going to focus on getting fit and muscle tone back before I worry about the hair/skin issues.

Hi. Yes. This is me 😞 I've been on mounjaro for 10 months. Hair was rather thin to start with due to ageing. Really bad now. Been using biotin and rosemary oil. Bought a scalp massager in desperation. Eating tons of protein and bloods are excellent. So...... I've just (5 minutes ago)ordered a hair topper!

I'm deep down the rabbit hole of red light treatments. For the scalp but also the skin on my neck is going real wonky from the weight loss. It's starting to look like my mom's. She's almost 70. I'm only 47 dammit!

You know, before, I would have sworn up and down that I was not a vain person, but even so I got accustomed to seeing a certain set of constants in the mirror. I may never have been a conventionally pretty person and I accepted that. But being made to feel even uglier than that is just some horse shit. Like I was ok being a 4, that was the cards I was dealt, but slowly turning into a 1 is just a shade too far!

Hotdog - the scalp massager I'm using has red light treatment as it scratches my scalp! It has not worked , however I have a facial wand with red light that I use on my neck and it has made a noticeable difference with the new wrinkles following weight loss.
