Hey all. I'm not a big fan of intros because I'm typically a private/modest/shy person, but here goes:
In Aug 2024, I was DX with T2D, and blood tests showed the beginning of NAFLD. I was the heaviest I had ever weighed in life (~295), and angry I'd lost focus on my health. With the support of my family, I made significant lifestyle changes. I started to ensure I was moving every day, trying to get at least 6-7000 steps in a day, which was a challenge since I work from home in a small apartment. Started focusing on what I ate, and slowly but surely, I began to see the benefits. But in February 2025, I seemed to hit a plateau. I had lost around 30 pounds, but I was no longer seeing progress - I started to feel defeated.
Around Apr/May, someone I know had suggested I try GLPs to continue my weight loss journey and help get my T2D under control - much to my dismay, it wasn't covered by my insurance and was going to cost several hundred dollars out of pocket... then I found the grey.
Today, after 6 weeks on GLPs, I am down 40 lbs officially, and my blood sugar resembles that of a non-diabetic. I credit "The Grey" with saving (at least a portion) of my life and hope to continue on this journey while giving back to the community.
