I received this email from the company I purchased mine from (cue Amazon fraudsters):

I want to inform you of an important update that will impact the ability to order certain Pfizer-produced products, including Hospira brand Bacteriostatic Water.

Starting July 2025, Pfizer is requiring that either a DEA License or an NPI Number be on file for any distributor to fulfill orders of their products. This is part of their updated product tracing protocols and will be enforced across all distributors, not just us here at AMSCO Medical.

As this change could affect your access to Hospira Bacteriostatic Water moving forward, I highly recommend reviewing your credentials and considering a stock-up while inventory is readily available. The current lot expiration date on our Bacteriostatic Water is October 2026.

Almost certainly no, look up sterile standards and techniques, it's very complex and a lot is involved

Buy sterile water, add BA, filter. It's not as good as hospira but it is done all the time around the world.

I do respect that. Hospira IS the best bet all around 👍

I guess the bigger point is NPI numbers aren't that hard to come by and even if the price of hospira doubles because of it, it's unlikely to become unavailable.

I make my own using distilled water and BA in my home brewing. Filter when done and I've never had an issue. For any general peptides I do use Hospira, but you have a clean environemnt and sterilize your equipment you can safely make your own.

Part of me really believes that a lot of these kind of messages from vendors (whether a "legit" medical supply house or research peptide seller, etc.) are designed to boost sales more than anything else since it seems that the nature of this hobby reliably attracts people prone to panic buying and hoarding. 👋

About half of my collection was ordered in the last month and a half..... I lost track of what I had already ordered and I'm going to have multiple doubles, assuming things actually make it to the states.
