Hello. I started Tirzepatide almost two weeks ago at 2.5 mg, so two shots so far. I have yet to feel the reduction in appetite and food noise.

I did get a couple of the commonly reported sides of Tirz, diarrhea and upset stomach, but very mild.

For more information, I do take three other peptides at the moment, GHRP-2 + GHRP-6, and Melanotan 2. Also I'm on TRT doses of Test(150 mg/week)

My question is do I continue Tirz at the current dose of 2.5 mg/week for the next two weeks, or do I go to 5 mg/week now and see if the appetite reduction kicks in?

The suggested protocol is to do 4 weeks at 2.5mg first.
In my case, when I didn't know any better, I started my research at 5mg. I did'nt have any sides at all.
I have friends, who are a man and a woman, who started at 2.5 and bumped it to 5 after 2 weeks. Again, no sides...
The tricky thing is, you've already had sides at 2.5mg
Because of that, you might want to stay the course untill your 5th pin.

I'd keep with the 2.5mg and allow yourself to become accustomed. Tirz wasn't noted to consistently produce weight loss at the 2.5mg dose.

The sides do ramp up as the dose escalates (at least they did for me), so I'd be cautious and give it some time.

I went to 5mg on week 4 but I gradually worked up to this dose during the first 3 weeks. I didn’t begin to feel appetite suppression until 5mg but I was only taking the one peptide and everyone is different. If I was taking multiple peptides then I would follow the standard protocol.

I didn't follow Eli Lilly's profit-at-scale titration schedule to go from 2.5 to 5.0. I increased by .5 at a time.
That's great. But my point is: It took you that long because you responded at those doses until 6 months. That's all I was asking...

Can I ask about your general experience/opinion of Melanotan 2? Considering getting some and looking to gather as much info as I can from the few people I can find who have mentioned it first lol

It seems like there are a lot of different experiences when starting tirzepatide. Some people have immediate effects and others it takes higher doses and/or more time on therapy. Side effects also vary widely.

I felt the effects in about 3 hours after my first shot and have had little side effects, so I titrated up fairly quickly over the coming months. My main GI side effect has been constipation.

Since you've had some side effects, although mild, you probably want to titrate up slowly and do at least the 4 weeks on 2.5mg to allow your body to adjust to the medication. Also keep in mind that you don't have to go from 2.5mg right to 5mg. If you're still having sides at 4 weeks you could go to 3.5mg or 4mg.

That being said, I believe that there is some benefit to eventually titrate to higher doses if you're able to do so, especially if you have a lot of weight to lose. There will always be folks who say that they have lost 100+lbs on 2.5mg (and I don't doubt them), but that's probably the exception rather than the average expectation.

60 yo 6'1" 170 lb male here. On trt.
At the starting weight of 201 I started on 2.5 mg of Zepbound and the appetite suppression was noticeable within 1 day. I thought it was placebo but it was real. The construction was also real from the start.

Though my dr wanted to up the dose, I stayed on 2.5 for 3 months and lost 30 lbs with buddy fat of 15%.

I feel lucky my body responded to 2.5. just follow the monthly titration protocol and you will find your dose. Don't rush it. It will kick in.

Wow!! GHRP2 stack? GHRP2 canceled all of my appetite suppression that tirzepatide provided! It temporarily broke my off switch when it came to eating.

THIS...... had the same experience with tesamorelin. Totally overroad tirz appetite suppression.

I'd put money on that being why the OP isn't experiencing tirz suppression.

Thanks for the heads up about tesa. As I get closer to my goal, I was thinking of adding tesa, but if tesa could in anyway affect my appeptite, I'm definitely waiting until absolute goal weight.

You're welcome....with a caveat.....
🙂

When I used tesa, I knew beforehand that it would modify my appetite suppression - -and more specifically tirz's effect on insulin management. I went ahead and used it, knowing I would have to be super mindful, because 80% of my fat was VAT and cardiac issues run in my family and I wanted to throw everything I could at the VAT and I was successful - but it took a lot of mindfulness, focus, and attention because the appetite suppression decreased substantially.

I know that tirz would also aid in VAT reduction but I believed, correctly or incorrectly, that adding 2mg of tesa daily (after being on tirz for 3 months and at 5mg/week) would really hit the VAT and it did.

That said, I def noticed that appetite suppression decreased while using tesa.

I have since hit gw, VAT has been reduced to 3% of total body fat, and I stopped tesa at the beginning of December. Ongoing waist/hip measurements currently show no increase in VAT so I can only assume that all lifestyle changes taken together, including ongoing tirz (now stacked w/survo) are delivering as hoped.

To my orginal point: anything that increases IGF-1 is likely going to mess with tirz's appetite suppression due to changes in insulin management. GHRP-2 will def do that. So will HGH, Ipa, Serm, Hex, all of them.
