How should I plan to take a break?

I've been on Tirz since November. Pleased with the results so far. I'm now on 12.5mg Tirz and 1.0mg Cagri. Progress now is very slow, I only manage to lose two or three pounds a month.

In September, I have a marathon to run. I'd like to wind down my dosage, do the marathon and then take a break, so that I can 'reset my receptors' and also give my guts a rest, as I'm on a daily mild laxative and daily Pepto Bismol to quell reflux. In my mind I'm guessing. Wind down doses from mid-August, reach a maintenance dose and then go back as a new starter in October / November, with a view to losing the last 40 lbs.

Can anyone recommend, or give a rough outline of how I could manage this? How should the dosing Vs time go?

I understand completely about wanting to give your guts a break. If you still get problematic sides with lower doses, then reta may be better anyway.

I would go down to 10 mg and then take it from there. It's hard to know in advance since you may have sides at lower doses.

There are no human studies that show tolerance to GLPs. One short, small study in humans showed no tolerance buildup after three weeks on liraglutide. But mice do show some tolerance.

What we do know from human studies is that higher doses are strongly correlated with more weight loss. But I don't know if any of them were running marathons, haha.

For reflux, generic Voquezna from India is amazing. You can get it from AllDayChemist or search the forum for Kawal at DMOnlineMeds.

On that note, some people try to eat up to 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight, in the hopes of being more satiated (and maintaining muscle, though that amount of protein seems like overkill).

If we didn't have GLPs, I would rely on polypharmacy like phenterimine or other stimulants, low-dose naltrexone, and generic Jardiance from India. And a keto diet restricting carbs in exchange for protein and fats. Or a vegan diet exchanging fats for complex carbs, e.g. sweet potato with 🥦 for lunch, without butter.
