Now, before anyone gets butt hurt over me calling you an idiot, I hope they consider how you just wrongfully accused someone of being a racist!
I never actually called anyone a racist, I said dishing out wholesale slander upon an entire race or ethnicity is racism. But if you feel called out by the description I gave then I guess if the shoe fits.
You are like one of those people who calls someone a “XYZphobe” if they don’t agree with or like a group of people, when a phobia is an “irrational fear.
Wow, I think if you google search "what is the meaning of digging a hole for yourself" this post would be the textbook example. Phobia does mean fear, but fear is not solely represented as the fear you see in a horror movie where people piss their pants and scream and cry. Fear manifests in many other ways; hate, anger, disgust.
For example a lot of people "Just dont like" gay people, for no real good reason, thats an irrational fear, also known as Homophobia. Do you really think Homophobia means to feel fear as in become scared and feel the need to flee from homosexuals?
You are an idiot. Nobody said a thing about “race”. Nobody said they hate Asians, which is what people in India are.
Very mature. But sure, as Keankong said I should have probably said bigotry, not racism, but I dont think the distinction is very meaningful, its still a terrible thing to defend or perpetrate.
It is nothing more than bias and everyone has them. Even you, be it towards people who think India is “scammy” or whatever else hurts your feelings.
Sorry, a bias is something like, I like chocolate more than vanilla, or I think these clothes look better than those clothes, judging an ethnicity or race of people in a negative way is not a bias, its bigotry, and defending it is pretty fuckin weird.
Also I do just fine not being a bigot in my day to day life, I have no opinions on anyone until they give me information with which to form an opinion. That being said I am not perfect, for example I get a little nervous around beggars when im riding my bike, I dont actually think they are going to do something, but my guard does go up just in case, but im still friendly, I offer them a greeting, I dont stare at them. I remind myself that my life could be the same as theirs if I had not been so lucky to be born to the family I had and the access to the opportunities I had.
The difference between good people and bigots is that good people can recognize that the reactions and judgements they make are not fair and that they need to control them and not let them control their actions, words, or feelings.
