A Not So Fat Dude
Back to the original topic, will Indian replace China as a source for GLP-1 drugs? Let me suggest a third possibility: Yes, Trump's actions might make it far more difficult for Chinese vendors to export drugs to the US. Then those same Chinese vendors will then stay in business but they'll ship from a different country. They send their stuff to Honduras, for example, or some country that the US is not engaged in a trade war with. From there, the GLP-1 drugs will be make it into the US. The prices would go up, but probably not that much. Shipping might take longer at first, although once warehouses are set up in that other country and the vendors adjust, then things would pretty much get back to normal. Eventually customs might start focusing on Honduras. Then we'd continue ordering from China and but the drugs would come from vendors in Finland.
By the way, the most likely scenario in my opinion is that the whole trade war blows over in less than 8 weeks. That's a guess. If I'm wrong, I'll consider changing my profile photo to that of another gorilla.
