Ineffective Retatrutide

I purchased all the Retatrutide I needed from an expensive and superb vendor that provides epic testing data. Not just a COA, but tests for everything, with a good number of vials per batch, and detailed traceability. The 70 pounds of weight came off and I reached my former athletic goal weight of 191lbs. It was easy to understand the side effects and carefully titrate up the dose 1mg more per month. I was pretty much limited by side effects to 4mg every 6 days until the very end where I moved to 5mg per week in a split dose. As skin tingling, sleep loss and other issues were front and center.

Fast forward to my recent use of a less expensive vendor who provided a COA that seems legit. I uploaded the COA to Grok/Chat and no edits or funny business was found. The manufacturer is clearly listed, and no problems noted with either the vendor or the claimed manufacturer in my searches. However, it does not seem to work. No side effects, fast weight gain (I'm up 5 pounds in a week, likely water) and I've had no change in diet. My legs swelled up recently on this brand of Reta, yesterday sock elastic left 1/4 inch deep marks. That's beyond unusual for me, as I'm a former bicycle racer still with strong muscular taught legs.

NOTE: I did have an AFIB episode last month after an accident that beat me up pretty badly. But the AFIB resolved in 28 hours and no issues since. Plenty of hard work, etc. Zero issues. But it did happen and heart issues are a primary cause of swelling. However, the swelling started with the new vial and my second use I pinned on Saturday and by Sunday I was really swollen.

I'll probably send the reconstituted vial to BT labs, as they are right down the road from me and have a good reputation. They charge $100 to test for Retatrutide and concentration.

Bottom line, I have a 10mg vial of Reta from a third vendor and I'm going to use that today, probably 3mg. See if the side effects come roaring back.

As always with these things, I'm not sure if it is me simply needing more Reta all of a sudden or the product.
 
While everyone reacts differently to Reta, I highly recommend getting your vial tested... Reta is such a long peptide, it's really hard to produce, and manufacturers often struggle to synthesize the chain correctly. I'm not saying your vendor intentionally sold you fake Reta, but there's a good chance it has a broken or incomplete chain, which would render it completely useless.
 
I've have notice the variance in Reta quality from US grey vendors and 5 different Chinese vendors. After my research what I believe it has to do with the structural complexity of Reta and grey vendors ability to manufacture it consistently. I purchased Reta from a grey vendor on week 7 of starting Reta, I had it tested and it came back 99% pure Reta, but for two weeks I felt absolutely nothing. I had another Reta kit from a different vendor and I took it and felt it the next day. I test all my Reta so both were tested and passed 98-99% (Mass/purity). This is what made me look into the variance of Reta effectiveness. What I found is Reta and GLP1's in general are more complex than your average peptide, being longer chained and acting upon multiple receptors, means Reta a 39 amino polypeptide chain has to fold in just that right manner to hit multiple receptors. Most peptides are acting upon one receptor and are shorter sequences, Reta is acting on 3 receptors and longer sequenced. This means the amino chain misfolding can hit one to three of the receptors partially, fully or not at all. I think this explains Reta effectiveness and variance, I've brought the issue up before but no one really seemed to care. The way the current mass/purity test are done do not detect misfolding. So the standard test won't help. So your Reta likely varies batch to batch, vendor to vendor, based on the raws, fillers and lyophilization process. I will say for the most part, most of my Reta has been effiecient or consistent judging by the side effects and hunger suppression. I'm now at 46lbs of weight loss in 4 months.
 
If the Reta is ineffective then youre just basically injecting powder and water and it it should cause all that swelling unless something got mixed to it. Have you had your labs done just in case?

Wow, thanks for the details. While I knew much of this from my studies, I had never really considered that it could pass as "Retatrutide" and still be less effective or ineffective. I'm still tempted to test it. I'm curious.

Looking it up, it does seem that there are situations where high purity is not associated with effectiveness.

Obviously you don't want to slander a vendor who may have done nothing worng, but I think it would be helpful if we knew where you got it. Likely you are not the only one to have purchased from them and other people may be able to give you feedback. If a bunch of people say they have had good results with it, you know to look somewhere else.
 
This is very true, but there are no way, that I'm aware of, for consumers like us to test folding , maybe with CD spectroscopy? That's hard to find and really expensive.

Did you change your BAC water?
 
I'm wondering if somehow Tirz was substituted for the Reta? How would I know by signs and symptoms? I know this has happened in the past.

As mentioned above, this stuff acts differently. Pinned on last two Saturdays, massive water retention by this Sunday and associated weight gain. Then today urinating like crazy weight back down by 3 pounds. Weird stuff. No skin tingling what so ever. Which was classic Reta

If you recently experienced any type of cardiac event, such as the afib, and now you have ankle swelling, you need to see a doctor and get checked out, assuming you do not already know why you have the swelling ( such as you have known cardiac failure or kidney issues for which you are being treated , and even then it needs to be looked at ) .

Afib on its own could cause it but only if the rate is high enough to impair cardiac function, and if it only lasted 24 hours and is now gone, cannot explain the current leg swelling. The obvious concern, is that in that context the fluid retention is being caused by impaired cardiac output or heart failure, or less likely a renal problem and needs to be looked into ASAP. It might be as simple as a medication for the afib causing the swelling, but not a thing to mess around with.
