Is Discord & Telegram a must?

I mainly use Discord/Telegram vendor groups to see - sometimes in real-time - updates to Warehouse stocks, particularly US-based warehouses. Also, to get a feel of what the customers, the community, is saying about the vendor and the reps. Gives me a good feeling seeing lots of conversations and history among members buying from and successfully obtaining their peps. As far as communication with the reps, I take that over to WhatsApp.

I have no idea how to use Discord and Telegram. Are those necessary? I’m comfortable on regular forum sites like this one and have recently figured out how to at least navigate Reddit, but all these different platforms drive me nuts. Do I need a Discord/Telegram for dummies class?

It may not be 100% necessary but it will make getting price lists, ordering and seeing reviews of vendors a lot easier. Highly recommended, just mute all notifications so it doesn’t drive you nuts and pop in when you need to.

With the recent purge of vendor forums on Discord, Telelgram is a remaining option for contacting sales reps and getting information about the available products. The problem with that for me is that I can't log in to Telegram.

I used TG on my phone years ago. I tried launching it recently and it says my number is "banned". No idea why that would be - maybe my account was hacked? It's been about fifteen years since I used it last. TG "tech support" appears to be nonexistent. Anyone have any suggestions on how to access TG another way?

I'm on several TG channels. I don't really participate at all, but I like to read other people's experiences, reviews, announcements, testing info. The shear volume of people on there almost guarantees if something is going on with shipping, products or regs, it's going to pop up there pretty fast.
But participating is a bit too much of a hot mess for me...

They are easy to use messaging apps, and like cold calls block anyone the sends you a private message they are a scammers.
It will also cost you money! $150 in Niimbots just this week. 🤪
