My wife is over 50. Are there any peptides that are known to improve libido in older women?

This. It’s so odd that every dude I know now is on TRT and yet it isn’t very well known that many females can do the equivalent. I feel many doctors are so behind the curve on this for females. My observations as a husband anyway. And the bone density issue is real. My mom is 2 inches shorter now and really struggling with those issues that likely could have better been dealt with decades ago.Yes, it's called HRT. And it's not a peptide. But I don't think any peptide is going to do much. She should get a full hormone panel and see where her levels are and consider HRT. It's good for a lot besides libido as well, like bone density and overall mood, body comp. My wife does the pellets. I'm much happier when she's on it, lol.
A generation of women missed out on the benefits of HRT due to the misguided 2002 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study raised exaggerated and incorrect concerns about HRT risks. At the same time, a generation of doctors missed out on being trained to treat menopause.This. This is a complicated matter, and it's really her that should be looking into this. I'm curious though; does she want to improve her libido or is this coming from you? I've seen a lot of discussions on this topic over the years, where it's usually driven by the husband and the women are neutral or not interested at all. It's a long and stressful journey and you won't yield quick results, especially at her age, hence the need for her to be in the driver's seat and figuring it out with her doc, with your support of course. My wife is over 50. Her request that I look into it. She would prefer a pill. This is a complicated matter, and it's really her that should be looking into this. too much effort and not funBesides peps you could try cleaning the house. Making a good meal. And putting on some marvin gaye? Maybe some barry white? Lol
Unfortunately it is not that simple. There could be various reasons to her lower libido, and it's important to highlight that low libido is a downstream effect of other underlying issues that could be both physiological and psychological. You can't just pop one pill and fix it. As others have noted, labs first, and address her hormone issues, brick by brick, starting from progesterone and estrogen. Then testosterone, if needed. Highly recommend speaking to a medical professional. Her request that I look into it. She would prefer a pill.
Yup. Luckily there are specialty clinics/doctors for these things now. I will say though, most of them (at least around me) are private pay, so don't get caught up into things you don't need. Look at bloodwork, listen to your body. Different people feel better at different levels of things.A generation of women missed out on the benefits of HRT due to the misguided 2002 Women's Health Initiative (WHI) study raised exaggerated and incorrect concerns about HRT risks. Now women and some medical providers are trying to catch up and it is not easy for women to find practitioners who are trained and willing prescribe.
AndroGel (testosterone gel) is considered off-label for women in the USA; if a woman finds a prescriber, she needs to measure out a 1/10th portion from packets manufactured and sold for males. (Australia has a product made for women I believe.)
I stand by this above for actual libido improvements, but wanted to add that if she’s looking for something to just try out, she could also look at oxytocin. I’ve never tried it, but as it works on the emotional bonding aspect, I’ve heard that can lead to some great cuddle sessions, which, for women, might help set the psychological stage for more physical intimacy. It’s something you could both try together. Not a peptide, but the absolutely best for increasing libido is TRT and she’s probably at the age where she needs some. Bloodwork will prove this and help her drive decisions about supplementing with exogenous TRT.
