Just a heads up, nimbot labeler on sale

I recently got a b1 on sale and this is an example of the label i made, I would like to know if i have permission to share the templates
Whoa! That’s utterly amazing. After studying this whole thread, I was about to just use my color laser printer on avery labels, which I have but the templates are not good. This completely turned my thinking around! Beautiful template!

Ha, i bought the D11 without realizing how small the labels are. Now I am using that for my labeling for work projects and considering getting the B1 (i dont need color!) for my peps. le sigh

I haven't used it yet, but I got the D11 specifically to label the tops of vials so I can see what's what without having to pull the vial to see the label on the side.

I bought a D110 I think when someone posted this thread about the sale and got it for $15.99. I think it came with 12mm x 40mm labels which are perfect for 5 ml vials.

I hate this website (Nimbot purchased 😆 )
For sure. My shopping cart is steadily growing. Niimbot (but which model?) and there are different size labels (tops, labels) and colors (white, iridiscent???)

the label leveler

the thermoses/inserts

i had no interest in 3d printing until i got here AND i have a perfectly functional brother label maker

and that’s just the fun stuff. ultimately waiting until i actually place my first research order before i let myself dive headfirst into supplies lmao

The one thing I REFUSE to buy is that label leveler. It's cool AF but I just will not spend money to put a label on straight on a vial that I'll have for a month 😝

The clear labels don't work well for this purpose, imo. I use the white or colored ones.

Which label maker would be best for a variation of sizes?
Ngl, I wasn't gonne buy one but all these pretty holographic labels make me want one 🤣
The Niimbot B1 can use a large range of label sizes, no holographic ones though. If you really want the holographic labels I believe that is the Niimbot M2

Thank you so much, I'll look into it!
Reminder that the Niimbot M2 is a thermal transfer printer that needs a ribbon and different kind of label material. The rest of those discussed are direct thermal, no ribbon needed.

They have holographic labels for all the niimbot versions.

Do you have the links for the niimbot holographic labels for the B1 and D11? So far I have only found the holographic labels for the M2 and N1. I would love to get some if they are available now.

A couple of those take a really expensive printer. The third one, the wolverine one, that one is just black on holo, so definitely that one.. Direct transfer, the thing most of these labelers do, is pretty much just black. It uses heat to change the label material to black.
The earlier mentioned M2 is a thermal transfer printer, and you can get different color ribbons. But it only prints one color, so you have to print the labels, and then open it up, roll the label tape back, change the ribbon, and print it again. Sometimes it works great and sometimes there are alignment problems.
Source: I went crazy and bought several printers. I have an M2, a D30, and a Phomemo M220. Sigh. The D30 only cost me $18 and it went downhill from there. I have holograph labels for all of them. Unexpected fun.

I bought all of my niimbot labels directly from niimbot, and ebay for phomemo labels. Actually took a long time to find them for the M220 at first, but then discovered that phomemo isn't picky about labels. Unlike niimbot, which requires niimbot labels, you can put almost any generic label in the phomemos. Just tell the software what size and you're off. And I like the phomemo software better than the Niimbot.

The niimbot site does not have holographic labels for the D11 or B1 hence my previous comment to the person specifically wanting those. No point in buying a label maker that doesn't offer them. And if you try and use 3rd party labels in them the software make the print quality terrible on purpose. Which is an unfortunate move by niimbot. I've heard about phomemo but only aftet I already have 2 label makers so I'm not going to get a 3rd 😆. Glad to hear they don't care about what labels you use though!

You're right. I never looked for labels for that particular model before. They have clear ones....I looked at the B1 just now and I'm glad I chose the phomemo instead.

I've thought about a possible solution to this before......So, here is what niimbot does. They put RFID tags inside the spool so that the printer knows what size the labels is and that it is niimbot labels. I don't think the RFID is in the labels. So, could I roll a bunch of new generic labels on an old niimbot spool? Maybe. Trying to use up the niimbot labels on the spool first.
