I’m taking Tirzepatide and I’m cautious to add things so I haven’t bit the bullet yet.

My food suppression comes and goes so I’m super interested in Cagri. I’m also super interested in stacking in Tirz with a small amount of Reta for the glucagon receptor help.

I’m definitely not interested in stacking all three right away. Which should I start with? I’m really unsure….

Has anyone tried these combos and which did you prefer?

I’m also not interested in dropping Tirz. It’s been incredible for my appetite and I’m not interested in switching it out completely for Reta.

I went with Cagri for the same reason - I want to stay on Tirz and maybe try Reta out when I’ve been in maintenance for a while. Cagri has worked great for me - I added it a month and a half ago, and I’m 12 lbs down since then. I’m at 6 mg Tirz Tuesdays and 700mcg Cagri Saturdays.

So Cagri is once a week? What do you notice after you take it? Similar suppression or does it feel different?

I am not a doctor so take my advice like you should from any other random on the internet, but I didn't want to increase my Tirz dose so I started reta and take it a few days after Tirz (I do Tirz shots on Friday mornings, and reta on Monday evenings).

I started with a low dose of reta at 0.5mg, did that for a couple of weeks with no side-effects, upped to 1mg also no side effects, waited a couple of weeks, and just upped to 1.5 this week.

I know reta isn't strong as an appetite suppressor but both combined has worked well. No weight loss yet, but I had plateaued which is why I started reta to begin with. I'm taking 7.5mg of tirz, but since I've been reta curious and food noise was returning, I figured this way I get a bit of both, but don't want to overwhelm and take too much GLP1 so I started reta with caution, and doing in between my tirz doses keeps the food noise from returning once the tirz starts wearing off.

I still have an appetite, just not food noise, it's really nice to enjoy food (sema made me not even want to eat), I just don't think about food and don't want to go for seconds 🙂

What did you feel on .5 Reta? Was it noticeable?

Is the suppression coming and going like wearing off before the next shot or something else?

If you have the option to titrate up, doing that may give you some time to decide which one to add. Another option would be to split dose or just shorten your shot frequency to every 5 or 6 days (which would effectively increase your weekly dose too).

I haven't tried reta, cagri, or survo yet bc I'm a weenie so I can't offer any experiences there. I shortened the frequency to 6 days until I eventually bite the bullet and that's helped.

So, I've been on the 2.5mg dose of Tirz for 4 weeks, and I also wanted to try the Tirz/Reta stack. I would say on this Tirz dose alone, I felt similar to how you described. Food noise suppression was there, but came and went. I added 1mg Reta three days after my weekly Tirz (4th week in), and the day after the Reta injection, the food suppression was intense!

I still get a general physical feeling of hunger, I can tell I need to eat, but it's not the normal mental hunger noise. Then when it comes to actually eating, that is the biggest change I noticed. I really have to take my time and go slow. I get satiated on a couple bites, and the rest is doing what I have to do, to get nutrition. I may back the reta down to 0.5mg next week. We'll see, based on how the rest of the week goes.

But I am also noticing better energy and mental clarity, less fog. So, it's feeling like a worthwhile trade-off, honestly.

I dose every 3.5 days at 2.5 mg because I have gi issues when I dose more at once. And if I titrate up I get sick. I just feel a little more hungry than I’d like. I honestly think I will stack Reta because more so than the appetite suppression I want that glucagon help!

Yeah I think I will stack Reta and save Cagri for a future stall! Thanks for your input

I see a lot of anecdotal comments about combining reta with tirz, and I think this video explains one of the main elements left out of most of these discussions: dosage. It probably wouldn't be wise to blast the same receptors with 2 peptides, however as the video notes, dosing one peptide at a lower dose to act as a supplement to the other higher dosed peptide is probably the more sensible route.
