I have been on Reta for 3 mos. with only a 2lb. weight loss so far. (because I don’t have a ton to lose? At 155, want to get down to 135). I started out conservatively at 0.5mg, then gradually bumped it up over the past 11 weeks to 4 mg, which I started on 2 weeks ago. 1st week at 4mg (freshly reconstituted with a new bottle from same source) I didn’t notice any unusual side effects. The second week on 4mg, however was a different story! The day after injecting, I started feeling flu like symptoms almost. Felt like I was running a low-grade fever, (which I actually was not, according to my thermometer) and was so tired and achy that I just wanted to lie down and rest all the time. And even then when covered up with blankets my feet felt very cold - almost like when you’re sick and you get the chills. Also had some queasiness that fluctuated on and off throughout the next several days. Then about four days ago, I began to notice that my lower leg calf muscles were feeling tired, crampy and hurt - basically the same kind of feeling one often gets after working out with weights, if you know what I mean. I take 2xday magnesium citrate supplements regularly and even used magnesium oil spray on them - to no avail. A couple days later I begin feeling the same feeling in my forearms. I was still trying to keep up my daily 3.5 mile walking routine so initially I just chalked it up to possibly having overstressed myself somehow. But in the ensuing days, I have ceased my walking program, hoping the condition would improve. So far it hasn’t. I noticed it worse when I’m lying down in bed, but it’s pretty much there all the time now.

So my dilemma is this: I am supposed to take my next 4mg injection tonight. Obviously I am quite wary about doing so because I’m afraid the symptoms will not improve and may possibly get even worse. I am at a standstill, not knowing what to do. Should I proceed onward and take my chances? Should I try splitting the dose 2 mg tonight? 2 mg Sunday or Monday night?? Or should I just throw in the towel completely since I’ve not seen any weight loss results anyway? Could this condition possibly be be caused by the use of the new bottle of reformulated peptide - and if so, why did I not feel any effects the first week of using it? SO many questions … and so few answers! So if anyone else here has experienced something similar Let me know what you did and if you were able to come up with a solution, I hate to give up entirely because of courseI just bought two new bottles of the peptide before all of these negative symptoms started lol! But I also don’t enjoy feeling like complete crap all the time now, either! Any suggestions as to what may be causing this and how I best to proceed? Thanks!
