If anyone could provide a step-by-step explanation on how to use Venmo to purchase Crypto to pay for a QSC purchase, I would be eternally grateful. I know Venmo has a crypto button and can be utilized, but don't know what choices/steps to make from that starting point. I keep reading about terms like Ethereum, wallet, gas money, USDT and my eyes glaze over. I've got funds already in my Venmo account.

Last time for my QSC purchase I walked into my bank and did a wire transfer to their account located in my same state, which was easy, but my credit union charges a $25 wire fee, and I prefer not having to go stand in line.

I know Wise is an option, but adding another app and having leftover money is not preferable. Also, I don't have/use a debit card. I've read the guide on how to use Paypal to acquire crypto but I got lost.

I might even ship you a nice little Christmas gift if you can help me : )

I DM'ed you as well - I did not get your friend request.. so if you're talking to someone on discord it's not me LOL..

Have not used Venmo, but cashapp was very easy to both buy crypto from my wallet and then make payment

you need to make sure you transfer the crypto to another private wallet that you own first, before you transfer it to the vendor. Venmo has some of these vendors flagged as illegal and if you transfer directly from venmo, they will keep your money and close your account forever.

A special thank you to Jailbreak7 who patiently set me up and walked me through the process. Would never been able to do it on my own -- too many details to watch out for. But, now I have an Exodus wallet!
Nice. I'm no crypto expert but I can't say enough about how easy exodus was/is to use. Can't say the same for paypal......

My bank seems to be blocking every effort to purchase bitcoin. I have tried several ways to use my debit card and all have failed. I am concerned that they have a significant amount of my life's savings and having red flags raised at each attempt. I really like their customer service otherwise and don't want to change banks. The way that worked well was to withdraw cash and deposit it into a bitcoin ATM. Now that I have gone down the bitcoin rabbit hole, my plan is to keep a mad money balance of a few thousand similar to the fact that after going down the research meds rabbit hole, I am unlikely to use prescription GLP1 even if it is covered by insurance.

I was able to start crypto and place an order in less than an hour last week. I didn't use my bank but I put money in my Venmo account. (I have this in case a friend wants to pay me for anything and they don't have cash....nothing shady lol) I used Exodus which used Moonpay (I think that's what it's called) to buy Eth using Venmo. It was really quite easy but I wasn't thrilled to see how much it actually cost me after fees and such. I was able to complete my "purchase" within 10 minutes or less!
Now I watch my little crypto balance toggle up and down. 🤪

1. Reviving an almost year old thread is discouraged.
2. If you're trying to buy crypto to pay anyone saying they're QSC, you need to STOP right now! QSC is gone and anyone telling you to send crypto is trying to scam you.

My bad, was trying to find the closest post involving funding bitcoin wallets.
