Sticky carts seem to be an issue with autos more than manual pens.
I saw some discussion on the plugs being inserted backwards playing a part.
Wow! Never even thought that might be an issue!

So which way is correct? I've been giving thought to sterilizing my carts again, and one issue is the plugs need to be removed, and then reinserted while still inside the sterile wrapper.

Good information.
I am using Luer lock syringes. Draw with a larger syringe and pin with a smaller syringe. The fresh unused needle is sharper for skin penetration when it hasn’t been through a rubber plunger. Easy to use, sterile, and cost effective for piece of mind.
This is interesting.
What brand of needles are you using? How are they for comfort? Needlephobe over here ...
In for the answer.

And I couldn't find a good source in the US for the Savvio, so I have two coming from Canada. Just out of curiosity where did you find in the US?
Not sure if you found a source yet but Daropep seems to have these in stock. Found them in STG and ordered a Gensupen yesterday

Dynarex - you can look at PeptideTest website as they carry top quality product including Pfizer Hospira BAC!

I just came across Daropep yesterday too 🙂 on TG. Someone was asking about different pens and Daropen's comparison page was provided:

I thought it was a pretty cool summary page.

The prices are okay on Daropep, but I picked up 2 Savvio pens for $30 each, which is $15 less each than Daropep. I also picked up a Ganuslin from Goodies and paid more than Daropep, but Daropep is out of stock.

Just recently started using pens for cjc/ipa and ghk/kpv.

I got 3 nest pens and a bundle of needles from ;

Then i picked up a couple Convipens and some carts from ;

Had zero issues with either though daro seemed a little sketchier because of the actual checkout but no problems. Haven't used the Convipen yet since my wife claimed it. I've been using the manual nest pens. As this is my first time I don't have anything to compare too. I only tested the nest with water and it seemed pretty accurate.

**Note the documentation on the Nest pen stated to not store in the refrigerator. I'm ignoring that advice but just wanted to put that out there. It was nice that it included a manual, QA stickers, and a case.

I have no idea. I've tried looking at photos of stock insulin carts from the big companies and have seen them both ways.
I have noticed manufacturing specs mention a silicone coating inside of the vial, I'm wondering if the consumer vials have it or if it's compromised by their sterilization techniques.

Now I'm worried if I disassemble the cartridge, the steam will remove the silicone coating...

Just can't win here.

I did reach out to Biologix and ask them if they would consider sourcing sterile injection cartridges/3.0ml Dental Cartridges. I'll post back if they will.

My cartridges work fine after steam sterilization. They lie on their sides, I suppose you can flip them over while still warm to redistribute the silicon if worried

Good to hear.

How are you sterilizing? Autoclave? InstaPot? UV? I'd like to hear what equipment and techniques you're using.

Autoclave in pouches, stoppers back in as soon as dry enough to be safe to handle. If using an instapot, you should lean the pouches on edge and also dry the pouches in a protected/sterile environment

I’m interested in starting pens, not that I actually need any. I’m running 3 daily pins right now (single vials to make sure I don’t have any crazy reactions) and the syringes are really piling up, which I absolutely hate. So I ordered 2 graphite Savvios, but dang I would kill for a blue or pink or even black!

I assume they meant larger and smaller gauge needle.
Correct. I figured it out with what I was thinking of trying. No way I'm using the heavier gauge and longer needle to blast my stuff. It' makes sense, but you can't find a 31g 8mm luer slip that's worth a crap.

I believe you. Im looking for a good one in pen needles..the highest rec brand has been less than perfect for me.

Even the high rated Easy Touch aren't as great as people mention, still really good, and I'll use them. So far, BD's are the best for me I've found. My wife agrees.

which BD are you using? so many types..the nano, ultrafine nano, microfine..??
BD syringes I bought before were not tolerable..

Oh thank you! I lost the post with this places name and have been searching!

Pens are the best. I have started a collection at this point. I have savvios, convi, gansu, etc
Please tell us the differences that you have noticed? I love my V1s, but since I've lost weight its harder for me to reach the fatty areas on my backside to pin the Klow, so Im thinking of getting an automatic. Generally I prefer to be in control but holding that awkward position for that long is getting hard.. I see that one kind is silent. How do you know when its done??
TIA

What is your steam process? TIA

I'm curious about the Savvio as well. I am a very tactile creature and I love me those clicks of my cheap V2 (which is working, great, amazingly). I like the idea of leveling up to a "better" pen, but really think I'd need to go for a Convi or Gansu if I do.

I use an autoclave, but others have used a full pressure cooker type setup, that’s described on Peppys. Any steam setup leaves the pouch wet, so you do have to manage to dry the items without introducing microorganisms to the wet paper, since then it will get inside.

Did your pens come in yet? How do you like the Savvios?
