Convipens have gotten hard to acquire recently and have become costly. I'm looking for
  • accurate
  • decently priced
  • available in the EU / Germany

Any recommendations? Auto preferred, but not a must.

Same here as @BBA1969. I’m waiting for my second Gansulin from AliExpress. I’m buying it now before that damn €3 tax kicks in on every item. Even though it’s only 5% on the Gansulin. It's a matter of principle ;-) EU lawmakers are insincere: we don't have any pen manufacturers in the EU, so who are the CN unfairly competing with?

The Gansulin is ideal for small doses, such as 0.10 ml. It is very precise. It works without having to apply much pressure to the push button.

I have the Ergo 2, V1, and V3 models. I wouldn't recommend the V2: they're unreliable and break often. The ergo2 offers the same level of ergonomics as the Gansulin, but it is not automatic; it provides good power transfer and costs half as much as the Gansulin.

What do you use the pens for? How is it different from using a syringe?
A syringe holds onto a fixed amount of pep when you use it and you always have to go through drawing from the vial everytime its pinned. Whereas with the pen it wastes a fixed amount per fill of the capsule and you save a bit of time per pinning as you don't have to draw first. The trade off on material lost seems to be favour pens when a vial ends up going to more than 4 pinnings or thereabouts.

So I can fill up a vial and it will last me for multiple doses, then I discard the vial and fill up a new one?

Yes, exactly.

And it has plenty of advantages: it’s faster to set up than syringes, produces less waste, offers more options for small needle sizes, and is easier to use for very small amounts, for multi-pins, or when you’re diluting a lot and the volume exceeds 3 ml (you can easily fill two vials, and one of them can be stored in the fridge for several days).

thanks. I use tirz and if I mix 3 ml it would last me more than a month.

There seems to be a few sellers of the big brand pens in Germany/Poland/EU but they seem to mostly sell on TG and the scam risk is higher over there than on the supply shops that has websites and reviews. But if one makes the homework och start in the larger TG groups one can get a good deal

How many ml of bac you put into it does not change how long the vial last for , the amount of Tirz is still the same
I know that. But he said it would last several days in the vial. For me it would need to last at least a month!

You can search how to use an insuline pen on youtube and see different options like manual or automatic and also compare different branches. Once reconstituted, you fill it in a 3ml pen cartridge and don't use the vial anymore. You can stay using it 4-5 weeks if you reconstitute it with BAC water. But not with sterile injection water. Attachment is a picture of a 3ml pen cartridge

I am using 5mg. I have 15mg vials.
So, 3 doses, which is 2 weeks. For that, I usually use 0.9 ml or 1.2 ml, not 3 ml. That way, I can inject 0.30 ml or 0.40 ml and avoid the small bump that happens with > 0.6 ml.

The Chinese version off ALI. I have 2, both work like a charm within 2-3u (which is as accurate as I draw my syringes )

Can you use the reconstitution completely with that pen or stays 0.5ml over like Mounjaro pen? I have cheaper version reusable pens because I use 4 pens. But will also buy a few with a display. Asking just for comparison. Novo Pen 4, 5 and 6 look also nice.

I am using 5mg. I have 15mg vials.
You can better reconstitute it in 1.5ml BAC water to use with a pen and inject 60 units once a week, 3 weeks long. Next time before ordering calculate first how many mg you need for 4 weeks and order according to that. 5mg x 4 = 20mg for instance.

These are my peptide pens.
Purchased on AliExpress.
The price per unit including tax to Europe is approximately $15 each.
They have a metal housing, the rest is plastic, maximum dose 60 units.
I also purchased 50 glass cartridges with a capacity of 3ml.
I verified dose accuracy by injecting a given amount into a 1ml insulin syringe with a scale from 1 to 100 units.

If you recon 2 15mg vials with 1.5ml of bac water each and load both of them into one cartridge. That gives you 30mg with 3ml => 6 doses of 5mg (50 units on the pen).

If you're on 5mg per week, it's better to order your vials accordingly. And cheaper per dose too.

I think I am moving up soon. 5mg still feeling hungry and eating a lot if I don't control myself. No side effects so far.

I have ordered V1 pens for 7$ each from Alibaba. They're not the best, but decent and sufficiently precise. They're pretty much the best deal that is to be had, much cheaper than slightly better ones (Convipen, Gansulin, Novopen etc) which are 30$ and more.

They're 80 IU so they need a spacer (eg 4m rubber washer) so push out all the product from regular cartridges.

Stay away from the V2, they're not better but worse.

I think I am getting the Gansulin too. Are all the cartridges universal? What kind of needle does it use?

I've only seen the standard 3ml cartridges at retailers (AE or AZ). These cartridges work with the Gansulin.

I use 32G 4mm needles from BD (or Embecta, the new brand name). I have a preference for this brand because I used to sell it wholesale a few years ago. I tried a Chinese brand. They're good too, but the BDs at the pharmacy near my house or online from the BE are cheaper. It's also a standard size that fits all pens.

Almost all 3ml cartridges and pen needles that I found on AE are standard. If they are not, it's clearly mentioned.

Hm... In the beginning I was also considering the pens, but two factors are holding me back.

First is the cost of the needles. Right now I pay about 12 cents for a syringe with a needle. Most of the pen needles I've seen were much more expensive. And buying them from AliExpress instead of a reputable EU manufacturer... I don't know. I'm currently running five different peptides, so the cost really adds up.

The second thing is trust. Can you actually rely on the (chineese) pen? With a syringe I have full control—though I'm also responsible for the accuracy myself. But with a pen... what's stopping it from injecting the entire vial at once? Or not injecting at all?

I'd just like to hear your thoughts on this.

Gbs are the way to go. Just ordered four Convipens for $151, shipping included ($34 each, $15 shipping up to ten). Going to add to order today I think. Not sure if this gb ships to EU, but the form had a dropdown for country. So I would assume so. Either way, these sales are going on periodically.

It's well known that thousands of diabetics in China die every day because of faulty needles. /s

Remember that they apply the death penalty to fraudsters (see the melamine milk scandal).
With a syringe I have full control
Are you sure?

Because it doesn't work that way.

The first pens were put on the market in the 80s. It is a technically mature tool.
