There are so many pen threads already, go read them.I have seen so many people who really like injection pens. The whole thing seems so complicated to me but I suppose I can learn. Are there real advantages?
I thought pens were dumb til I tried one. The three things I like most about them are that it's one object rather than two to fiddle with, there is no air in it on day one or week six, and it doesn't get progressively more difficult to draw my dose at the end (as opposed to a vial, where you have to get the needle shallower and shallower from the stopper to get liquid instead of air.)Mostly boils down to a bit of convenience.
But if injecting from a vial is second nature to you, it may not be that much of a win. For me personally, I like it. So, far.
- You don't have to draw every time. Instead, you attach a needle, dial the units and inject.
- You do have to fill up the cartridge once per vial. But if you are filtering, you are doing this anyways. You just dispense into the cartridge instead of a sterile vial.
- You can argue that it is easier to travel with a pen. Just fewer things to carry.
Would love to hear other perspectives.
Best you can have for subcutaneous injections.I have seen so many people who really like injection pens. The whole thing seems so complicated to me but I suppose I can learn. Are there real advantages?

It's one of those things that once you do it you'll be wondering why it was so intimidating. Get a V1/V2 pen to try it out and if you decide to keep using a pen buy a higher quality pen. My personal favorite is the auto Gansulin. It's accurate and functions smoothly and is less 'violent' than my auto Bird. Manual pens are great cause you control how fast you inject the fluids. My bet is once you try it you'll never look back.I have seen so many people who really like injection pens. The whole thing seems so complicated to me but I suppose I can learn. I have used injection pens, imo seems kinda dumb. Just pin it a normal needle, they are so thin that they don't hurt at all.I have seen so many people who really like injection pens. The whole thing seems so complicated to me but I suppose I can learn. Are there real advantages?
