Preorder prices cheaper

I know there are a lot of variables, but in general, why are preorder prices so much cheaper than regular prices? I just ordered T30 from Nexa for way cheaper than their usual price, and it looks like it will still be here this week. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

In business, holding inventory means your money (or equivalent assets, including credit or good will) is invested in that inventory for the duration. That's a drag on business. Fast turnover is fast profit with lower risk.

They're still printing money at those "so much cheaper" prices.

$200 for the preorder special, or a third of that with some planning ahead.
