I'm exploring peptides for my wife. She's 45, perfect, doesn't need to lose weight (in my opinion), but wants to tighten things up here and there, and otherwise feel like she could use a 'win'. She's been active most of her life, but has given up a lot of that for our children and family, has had some recent stress, and wants to feel a little like her younger self again.

For example, she recently found out she has positive thyroid antibodies and, while her thyroid numbers and labs are otherwise perfect, isn't too happy about it and wants to do what she can to be as healthy as possible. We have the fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle pretty well in check.

I could read about peptides until I'm blue in the face, but I'm wondering which ones have actually moved the needle for the women of the forum.

It isn't lost on me that peptides aren't a magic bullet, nor are there any good human clinical trials on most of them. I see them more as a nudge than anything.

Thanks in advance.

My experience has been with the Glips for weight loss. On this journey I have been doing weight lifting and resistance training. That has made me feel stronger, younger and more proud of my body and efforts. I recommend Les Mills Body Pump for a weight class for her.

What specific parameters does she want help with? (Other than the thyroid)

At 45, she’s going to be in perimenopause even if her periods are still regular. She needs to get on BHRT first and foremost. Once her estrogen and progesterone levels are regulated, a whole bunch of other stuff also falls into balance, including thyroid. This is because estrogen supports liver function and nutrient partitioning, both of which help improve thyroid function. And progesterone improves sleep, which it’s important for soooooo many things.

Most common starting point is estradiol patch (changed 2x a week) and nightly oral progesterone. A few months later, I’d add low dose GLP1, preferably Tirz.

I did exactly this. Best thing I ever did for myself.

I agree with this. I intend to do Epitalon soon, as I have heard that one is really great for women.
I love the KLOW. though it can be spicy/painful. It is great for your skin and body.
There is a thread on the SS-31, Mots-C, Nad+ which are all supposed to boost the mitochondria providing a host of benefits. Read up on all these.

I will disagree with this. I DID take this (BHRT) hoping to relieve my hot flashes and it sent my cycles into a frenzy. At one point I had a 31 day period with heavy bleeding. If that wasn't bad enough the mood swings and bloating was also insane. But I see nothing wrong with a low dose of any of reta or tirz.

I can get behind this one even though I have not done it yet personally. I am currently shopping for all the peps. I plan to do it probably around the end of February. I would start it sooner except the SS-31, Mots-C and NAD+ is a 14 week regime and I have a medical procedure scheduled for Feb 10th that will require I go off all meds 2 weeks prior. I don't want to disrupt it midway through. I also want to do the Epitalon as a follow up.
