Reconstituting and dosing - accounting for losses?

Apologies for a potentially misleading title, but what I mean by this is that most calculators (at least those that I have come across) provide the exact mixing instructions, not accounting for the fact that the user will not be able to draw 100% of the last dosage, as the amount of liquid left in the vial will be too small to draw in the syringe, as the tip will not be visible / it will be sticking out of the liquid.

Perhaps more experienced users have a way around this, but just curious how do you solve this? Do you add more bac / inflate the strength knowing there will be some loses, or how?

If I reconstitute to 5 mg per 50 units, 50 units will be 5mg. If I do not have enough to exactly get 50 I will make up for the missing with new syringe and vial to not cross contaminate.

As for the remaining amount in vial, you can gently back pin out until you see the tip through stopper and get all but a negligible amount.

When I reconstitute, I add a bit more liquid to compensate yes.

I do this because of filtering + aliquots means I lose a bit at the end. But I want all the aliquots to contain the same volume at least so I have a consistent dose for the whole month or 2.

I never use the concentration in lab tests, because it varies too much and you have to redo the math for every batch, etc.i use the expected amount unless it's 20%+ over/under filled.

Personally, I don't worry about it. Unless your taking a very small dose of something from a low strength vial, the difference is negligible.

Also, as skidude said, just back the syringe out a little bit to get more. This is what I do and the amount left over is so tiny. I was curious how much was actually left once so I popped off the top and stuck the syringe all the way down and drew it up and it was probably only about 1-2 units. Depending on how much you're diluting your pep it's not even worth worrying about.
