Does anyone here have experience reconstituting SLU-PP-332 for subq? I ordered a kit without researching first, and now understand that it's hydrophobic, which means BAC water alone will just ruin it.

I watched a few YouTube vids that use .5ml DMSO then an equal amount of BAC water to reconstitute it, but everything I've read says this is a horrible idea, that injecting that concentration of DSMO is pretty toxic. I've read a couple sources that state using DMSO first, then PSB 80(tween 80), then phosphate buffered saline, in order to get the DSMO down to 1%, or close to 1%.

Anyone? Thanks for any help, and go ahead and laugh as necessary.

I know, I know, literally no one. But anyways, without linking to anywhere that wouldn't want association with self-described 'researchers,' I did finally stumble across this:
"Try to dissolve very hydrophobic peptides in a small amount of DMSO (30–50 μl, 100%), and then slowly add the solution dropwise to a stirring aqueous buffered solution such as PBS (or your desired buffer) to the required concentration. If the resulting peptide solution begins to show [cloudiness]turbidity, you have reached the limit of solubility. Sonication will help dissolve the peptides.

Rule of thumb:

0.1% DMSO is considered to be safe for almost all cells.
A final concentration of 0.5% DMSO is used widely for cell culture without cytotoxicity.
1% DMSO does not cause any toxicity in some cells, but 0.5% DMSO is recommended.
5% DMSO was used successfully in some cells."

Um, Still searching...

That's one of the reasons that I went with capsules. I don't know if they are better worse, however they are easier.

ive read that some people have used 0.2mL or 0.3mL of DMSO to 2.3mL or 2.2mL of BAC with good results too

I guess you could use more BAC to reduce the DMSO concentration?

I was considering whether this would waste a vial or not. Now I'll have to give it a try! Is there any way you could message me the links to where you read that? Thank you

I’ve since lost where I read it, it was amongst my late night searches somewhere, im going to give it a try as well

So I have ordered Slu twice. The first time it had a yellow tint to it, and no matter what I did it wouldn’t reconstitute. The second time it didn’t have that tint and with the DMSO it worked just fine.

I don’t know what that all means, but in a FB group I am part of a few others have said the same thing. If it is yellow it won’t reconstitute.

The vendor I ordered the yellow one I asked about it and they never got back to me. Stopped using them all together.

After reading all of these. I've come to the conclusion that I dont need Slu 🤣
My default is to want all the things, and I want SLU, but am def going to take the oral route!

I am pretty surprised people are injecting DMSO—no judgement! It’s just that years ago I bought some to use topically to help my skin absorb MSM, and even using it topically had very little research…like all I could find was an old 1980s or 90s 60 Minutes episode of how topical DMSO is used for pain and healing on racetracks for horses and anecdotally by a few people. I inject gray peps which (many) also lack research, but DMSO is a byproduct chemical from paper making (and also bizarrely gives me garlic breath from topical use). Not sure if it was the DMSO, the MSM or the combo, but I got horrible hives that sent me to the clinic. That was my last foray into DMSO. BUT I’m glad people have figured out how to use it for their needs!

TLDR: Imma use oral SLU 🤣
