Curious if you all plan on taking reta after reaching your goal weight? I'm dropping so fast id either have to cut dose or completely stop

I think the answers will all be about studies that show that people who quit GLP-1s altogether will gain back+ to their starting weight after reaching their goal....I think people here will stay at or near their last dose level after hitting their goal, or will do less but still stay on their GLP...My plan is once I go from tirz to reta and then hit my goal, that I will cycle off from reta back to tirz for maintenance doses...but I imagine I will be doing at least 50% to 75% of my last doses for maintenance...

I definitely plan on maintenance after I get to goal weight. I intend to see if I can't reduce my dose, but as long as the lack of sides persists, it is what it it is.

If you are concerned the rate of weight loss is too fast, you probably should drop the dose.

Depends entirely on why you are using it. If you are older , have severe obesity or obesity related health problems, staying on it long term is the most sensible option. If mildly overweight it is a bit more optional.

I stopped taking it for three weeks after like 2-3 months. I mean, I guess I can go without it again. I didn't add much weight during that time. Maybe I did; hard to tell. BMI went up maybe one point? But I mean, it's so cheap and my rhr difference isn't noticeable while on it.

My RHR could actually be lower on reta because I tend to stop eating earlier in the day and sleep inadvertently ends up being better. So I'm like, I guess I'll continue taking it to stay eating healthy for a while until the habits lock in. Dunno. Or just stay on it, go off and on. Hard to say. For now I just feel better while taking it because I eat better while on it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking it. You shouldn't feel "bad" for taking it to feel better, fix your diet, or whatever else.

Maintenance dose thread #3 this week. lol I'm close to goal and will hopefully drop to 2-4mg. We'll see when the time comes.

I plan to stay on for at least a couple years - I'm hoping my body's set weight will have adapted in a few years and I can more easily go off but for now I'm sure I'd be fat again within a year. I'm pretty much at goal now, though I wouldn't hate another 5lbs.

Nice job. I'm shooting for 5lbs more myself.

Out of curiosity, how many weeks in are you? Has your weight loss slowed down at all? Or has it been consistent throughout?

What dose are you taking right now? And for how long have you been on it?

Been on Reta since 1/9/26. Just finished #5 on 8mg, so 5 weeks. We'll start 9mg on Sunday. We usually pin every Friday, but were away last week, so we'll do 6 days till we get back to Fridays. I didn't want to start a new dose on a 5 day deal. I say we, as my wife is on it too.

I'm 2-3lbs away from the end of my cut with reta, i just ordered some tirz to maintenance it. Manage appetite rebound. But i'll do the minimum and will try to distance the dose gradually to see if my appetite go crazy or not.

That's one of my thoughts to help curb appetite, but not cut weight so drastically

I've been on almost 7 weeks, I do about 6mg split into 2 doses. Weight loss has came mostly in the last 5 weeks at roughly 3.5lbs a week.
Did you ever do single doses per week? Or only split doses since the beginning. Just curious on if you’ve switched up the dosing schedule what differences you’ve seen.

I reached my gol weight after about 4 months of tirz then reta. I'm still in body recomp so I titrated down on the reta to help burn the remaining belly fat as my new goal is to maintain 10% body fat and keep my goal weight. I was up to 4mg of reta but titrated down to .5 and have settled on 1mg. Tesa/Ipa at night is helping along with KLOW, TRT and HCG.

That's a little fast for weight loss. I'm sure you could care less.
