30 year old man here, diagnosed with ADHD, been taking Concerta for the past 5 years, 54mg.

I started taking 2mg/week Retatrutide 9 days ago. I have not taken my ADHD medication for the first time since I got them, and I feel absolutely fantastic - as if I was still on them - but throughout the whole day instead of a 12 hour window that Concerta works.

GLP-1 interferes with dopamine receptors in some way, but I didn't expect it to be such a positive change.
I know some people need to switch to instant release medication (adderal and ritalin) due to Retatrutide slowing your digestion.

Did anyone else experience something similar? What happened after a longer time period?

Same experience! I'm on the same dose and have been for about the same length of time. Also started 2mg of reta. My only issue has been utter exhaustion. A couple days I took my Concerta to help get me going because I am sooo tired, hoping that passes soon lol but otherwise it's been fantastic!!

Yep! I seem to be waking up slightly earlier and then fall back asleep, no major issues though and I definitely fall asleep easily.

Have you been able to fall asleep while taking concerta?

Have you been able to finish your work?
Sorry I missed your second question. My exhaustion has gotten the better of me some days, but I am certainly focused and capable of finishing my work!

I have seen in some places that reta makes stimulant medication essentially not work. I am worried about starting taking it since I am on 70mg vyvanse daily. I'm sure it affects everyone differently, but it is nice to know that some people are having positive effects from it instead.

I'm diagnosed with ADHD/anxiety and my anxiety is notably less since starting tirzepatide. Crazy difference actually. I was truly not expecting it to have such a positive effect on my mental health. I always thought my compulsive eating was tied to my ADHD somehow, just that constant need for dopamine manifested itself as constant need to snack. I'm currently trying to source brenipatide to try, which is a GLP in clinical trials for addiction treatment. I'm at my goal weight but don't want to quit tirz because it's been so positive for my mental health, so I'm just looking at different options for maintenance and hopefully continuing to feel good (and not be tempted to do too much more damage to myself) as I age.

Ive said it at nauseum at this point but. Partially connected to adhd i guess. Adhd kid grown up.
People say Anhedonia is this horrible stuff. Meanwhile im like i feel like the mental clutter is gone. I think about whats important right now. Distractions like food. Or romantic interests are like totally canned. Emotion is really a bitch sometimes. To me i did alot of "what if" rumination. Recently i just dont. Its weird.

I’m currently on 4mg Reta with ADHD. I’ve never had anything other than Adderal. I definitely still notice a positive difference when I take my medication, but the Reta definitely does something that makes me still function when I forget to take it. I’ve been forgetting more often now on Reta because of that.

Stimulants always raise my blood pressure too much, unfortunately. I do pretty well with an antidepressant combo of strattera and an SSRI. But I've been SUCH a coffee addict since my parents would let me drink it, obviously it helps me focus. Tirz immediately had an effect on my caffeine consumption, I'm easily drinking 1/3 the amount of coffee as I was before. Feeling more alert and focused. It's amazing.
