The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reported that de minimis shipments, valued at $800 or less and exempt from duties and certain taxes, totaled over 1.36 billion in Fiscal Year 2024, or over 113 million per month. This may go down after the change in the law, but it is physically impossible for them to scrutinize them all. Maybe a company gets tagged and has its imports prohibited. So, they start a new company until they get caught again. Maybe this will have some impact, but I don't see anyway they are going to stop it.

They are coming for the grey market guys, this might be a big deal
I watched TV show two nights ago "Contraband: Seized at the airport", a 2025 episode. Because they had a bunch of small boxes of same sizes, and a few other queues that made it suspicious, they opened some boxes. Saw labels with BT10, CU50, etc, in 2 part plastic trays for peptides. "research, not for humans.... etc". The CBP agents saw CU50 as Hyaluronic injectables, with no documentation. Because it was going to individual homes/apartments, and not labs, it was seized. "beauty stuff" in their comments. They had a van with a mobile scanner but was more to find drugs. They did not use a Gemini on the CU50 content. They were sending the lot to a centralized CBP lab, to be analyzed. They were inspecting UPS, DHL, mail, etc. I watch each week, and it was the first show where 'injectables' were the subject of inspections. Yes, possibly because the exemption was revoked. But CBP was not familiar with peptides, or the 10 vial trays commonly used.
Unless its a trademark infringement, class A drug, porn material, or whatever is on the hit list for that month, a lot of the freight will make thru. Until the boxes are automatically processed by a scanner, with some AI algorithm, they don't have enough staff to make a dent in the volume the forwarders are shipping. But your home address could be flagged for future imports, has some are reporting on other forums.
I can barely even understand what they are saying in the video. They are like two steps beyond ESL.I actually went backwards and started at the end of the season to find this. What a mistake. That show is PAINFUL to watch.
Its episode 3 at the 30:43 mark. Starts with some unlucky slob getting their Korean Botox confiscated (better luck next time MedSpa). Then they get to the boxes and boxes of peptides. Packaging looks like Ava/LSPL specials. Probably was LSPL product.
What's really painfully is how absolutely clueless the CBP agents are as to what they are handling/dealing with. They cut into stuff without anything other than exam gloves and N95s on at best. No PE gowns, no negative air pressure hood when examining easily aerosolized powders, just reckless abandon.
When you see CBP doing its utmost job while being filmed you will come to appreciate the fact that anything gets collected at all.

This is why I have been telling ever creator I see to stop. And guess what, noone of them will stop. Clout chasing ruins everything. literally. The article specifically mentions 'social media postings' regarding their data about the gray market.
Have you seen the video posted by @tncc_rn? We are fine.In 22 mins just now, I found 63 peptide posts from just the last hour on TikTok. It will be ruined soon. I am not sure what the port man power is like but the focus will be strong for a while now that they have turned their interest to it. I wouldn't be surprised if all oof the TikToks start getting flagged, which would be great! But until then, I would estimate that if the group does not have a stash in the US already, it probably ain't getting through. They are likely flagging specific shippers, box sizes from certain areas, and if it catches one, it will flag all similar. BIG PHARMA $$ is bottomless.
No, I will go check it out.If this started July 9th, they really are doing nothing righ

Oops, angry fingers! And they never understand that they are ruining it for everybody and they are included in that! This is why I have been telling ever creator I see to stop. And guess what, noone of them will stop. Clout chasing ruins everything. literally.
Pisses me offThe article specifically mentions 'social media postings' regarding their data about the gray market.
I really wish that TikTok ban would have gone through. I would wager that part of the justification for keeping it is that people do a wonderful job telling on themselves and providing free intelligence to government agencies. In 22 mins just now, I found 63 peptide posts from just the last hour on TikTok. It’s up to 5 people today that ordered from a medium-known vendor who have gotten tracking notices that said unable to deliver possible dangerous items.Exactly. Unless FDA is going to shed a few thousand employees and give them to CBP nothing in that article is going to happen. And that's even assuming CBP would accept those bodies from FDA. As a US government employee, I can tell you inter-agency cooperation is practically nonexistent between most.
At best, CBP may start doing what they did in Chicago a month or so ago. Surging agents to one or more specific ports of entry for increased scrutiny of small imports that only lasts for 30-60 days. They can't do it forever, and they don't want to anyway. CBP and DEA/DOJ have bigger fish to fry than Chinese Peptide Cowboys.
Huh?It’s up to 5 people today that ordered from a medium-known vendor who have gotten tracking notices that said unable to deliver possible dangerous items.
Yeah, that's not how CBP seizure notices work, which is what you will get if your package is not delivered and confiscated. Not a tracking notice. It’s up to 5 people today that ordered from a medium-known vendor who have gotten tracking notices that said unable to deliver possible dangerous items.
Seriously 😉Huh?
Any more info? Like who was the vendor? Were all 5 with same vendor? Was the courier company mentioned? It wouldn't be badmouthing said vendor it's part of the game....It’s up to 5 people today that ordered from a medium-known vendor who have gotten tracking notices that said unable to deliver possible dangerous items.
Vendor will not be disclosed, and this communication did occur occur around the same time frame. Personal curiosities ask if there may be a flag with the vendor, though it sounds like other packages went through just fine.Yeah, that's not how CBP seizure notices work, which is what you will get if your package is not delivered and confiscated. USPS never indicated why the package had stopped, only the last scan.
The mind wonders... Can you share a link to these reported "tracking notices"?
If you're unwilling to share info, why make a comment? What are we to do with such vague info?Vendor will not be disclosed, though this communication did occur occur around the same time frame. A member in a different channel (different situation entirely) did receive a formal seizure letter from CBP. We will not know if any of these members receive a letter until at least a week from now, most likely.
It doesn't matter. If you are in the group then it is relevant to you. Otherwise, it is not.Does anyone know who the vendor is that is associated with the five letters that went out about dangerous packages?
lol this is great.Like watching a yard full of adhd chickens...
👌It doesn't matter. If you are in the group then it is relevant to you. Otherwise, it is not.
The objective is to show that some people are receiving - and most likely will receive - notices like this, regardless of vendor. Another member did give the following consolation regarding this issue, though:If you're unwilling to share info, why make a comment? What are we to do with such vague info?
