Someone told you to "go grey" and now you're here.

Hi there! I’m a Mod over at r/TirzepatideHelp, where our mission is to be a welcoming first stop for anyone learning about gray/research peptides, especially for folks coming from compounded tirzepatide.

We’ve just launched step-by-step guides, Gray 101 and Testing 101, on our new wiki to help newbies kick off their research peptides journey with solid, well-informed basics. We’re happy to welcome anyone looking for an initial overview and a supportive, newbie-friendly community. Once you’ve got the basics down, you can dive into more gray discussions with the knowledgeable folks in the GLP-1 Forum and beyond. 🤓

We're on Reddit r/tirzepatidehelp and recommend joining there too in case the Telegram group is ever nuked. Here's the Telegram group invite where all the action is.
Hi, can you send me the link to the Telegram group invite please. The link you have posted is expired.

Is freezing it necessary ? I am guessing the vendors do not freeze them and ship them at room temperature
Lots of threads about storage, if we are talking about Tirz and other GLP-1s.
I could tell you what I read about jano, posted by a user not verified, that GLP-1s can last years with minor degradation in your garage while still lyophilized. (I doubt it was a Texas garage, but I digress)
Once reconstituted it is recommended to refrigerate and use within 28 days, although many use for much longer, as much as 2-3 months. (I would definitely use proper cleaning hands and area as well as cap before and after each pin).

It seems the consensus of most is to freeze while lyophilized and it will last years in a normal freezer (many say insulate if frost free).

Other peptides/stacks are different. I do not freeze NAD+ or LIPO-c

There is some debate on freezing reconstituted- I have seen a few say they do it, most do not.

Can you elaborate more on insulate? I have a typical stainless steel apartment side by side. Definitely frost free

It is my understanding that a frost free freezer (no ice build up inside) can have cycles where it warms slightly in areas to avoid ice crystals. If you have one it may be helpful to put your vials in some sort of container. I originally use stainless steel food thermos, but have since moved to a nylon insulated lunchbox placed in an insulated food storage bag(think grocery ice cream bag) with leftover ice bags (good old compound delivery stuff). This allows me easier access and minimum time exposed to add new and take out stored vials.
ADDING:
the lunchbox has silica packs in it and is in a zip lock freezer bag to minimize moisture. the ice blocks are on the outside of zip lock freezer bag but inside the thermos bag.
This is only because I have several years of storage, I would just toss them in there if 4-6 months.

Again the concept is to avoid temp fluctuations as every study I have seen people quote, I have not fully read any studies myself, seems to state that degradation is minimal with constant temperatures near 0 Fahrenheit for several years. Further, it seems the issue relates only to efficacy and not to any other detrimental effects. (They may lose slight potency)

Using googles site search tool will get you tons of results from the forum.

Dude, you really earned your pay** with these two replies this morning.
Super great job summing up the wider community's perspectives and experiences.
These answers ought to be pinned somewhere. Thanks for taking the time. I hope it helps a lot of newcomers as they come on board.

** What are we paying you, anyway? Whatever it is, we should double it.

Thank you for you in depth reply. The reason I questioned insulation of the stuff is because putting something in something insulated (like a small styrofoam cooler) for example) slows the freezing of whatever is inside as the insulant (ie styrofoam) acts as a barrier to the temperature inside the cooler and the temperature in the freezer. This is what I found out by using Google without specifying glpforum as the only site to search

It will slow the freezing, but they've already been sitting at room temperature anyway. The idea is that once they're frozen you want them to stay frozen until you are ready to use them. So something insulated will protect them for longer if, say, you have a power outage.

That is correct, but in addition to the protection it provides from power outage, pointed out by chmuse, it also protects from the variation of temperatures caused by frost free. This way you have multiple levels of protection.

I am glad to hear you are googling though, it is what strengthens the community, I have to remind myself to read other sources to avoid an echo chamber.

I agree!

When his admirable patience runs out he can get off the slopes and join the rest of us in the lodge for some hot cocoa! 😁

I do similar as @Skidude but have lunch box icepack and silica packets in each 30ct essential oil case then vacuum seal.
