I ran into a woman I care quite a lot about but haven't seen in a long time. She's on reta, week two. She's not done any research, doesn't understand what grey is or know anything about grey, doesn't know anything about reta, and took a vial that had been reconstituted by a friend of hers and is taking ten units a week at their direction. She doesn't know the mg/ml, doesn't know the source of the vial ("from a place in California") and doesn't know how to assess or reduce the risk.
First of all, if anyone here gave her that vial, I hate you.
Second, she hasn't invited me to weigh in on whether she should be doing this, and so I will not be telling her that I do not think she should be doing this. And also, I do not want to see her hurt. If it were tirz, I could answer questions about tirz, but I'm not even taking reta; I don't even know where the spoon-feed step-by-step what to know about reta is kept on the internets. I also do NOT want to be or have any business being her Peptide guru, and I know she's not going to research things independently. She's someone who really ought to be doctor-guided, but that's not where we are.
If there was someone you cared about who was doing what she's doing, what website would you drop in her text as a "Here's a site that can tell you more of what you need to know if you want to do this long-term" if you could only pick one? I know what I know from a combination of ChatGpt (followed by googling whatever it said to see what actual humans were saying that prompted it to spit that) and reading what felt like four years worth of posts in this forum.
