Stubborn Belly Fat

This is a great thread and I can weigh in on the expectations a bit.

I lost a bunch of weight on keto over the past year. Body fat from 30ish% down to 10.9 in April per dexa. I was lifting and doing cardio religiously and working abs consistently.

I started trt at the beginning of May and immediately gained like 15# of pure fat. I started reta shortly after to get that under control. Hunger on test is no joke!

I got to a point where I had vascularity above and below my little pouch of belly fat. Ultra frustrating.

I had a belly my whole life. Not massive but that fat around my belly button has been there since I was a kid.

My thoughts at this point are that it's an age related thing and possibly genetics. If I drop into single digit body fat I bet I can reduce it some. Not sure though if I can fully eliminate it.

I'm 45 years old and I feel like that's a big part of it.1189.webp1190.webp

I'm just over or very close to 10.0% in those pics. That's just now. 5'6" 141#.

It's also not just skin. Looks like it in the pics but a pinch and I can get some fat between my fingers. Nearly everywhere else a pinch and you can tell it's just skin.

It does give me somewhere to inject peps easily, so there is a bright side

Tesamorelin is actually FDA approved for that exact use. The trials were on adults whit HIV but that shouldn't change anything. Generally, weightloss comes from everywhere and you can't really target it. If you get lean enough, it will go, but Tesa is probably the only thing that would be an exception to that and may help you focus on that area.

Although I still think Tesa would be a good rec for OP, this is not what Tesa is FDA approved for.

I am 58 and started using Ipamorelin 18 weeks ago at 400mcg/day(200 in the morning and 200 before I sleep), because I have observed some muscle weight loss after losing my first 20kg. It has helped preventing my musscles together with training. I always have been taking enough proteins. But it wasn't enough to protect my muscles. I couldn't observe any fat loss after using it for 12 weeks. Meanwhile my goal weight 77kg was reached. But I had some belly fat and was on a plateau during last 4 weeks. Stopped ipa for 2 weeks and started back as ipa+cjc no dac stack at 350mcg/day. Injected everyday at 05:00 AM before I started working and vasted until 12:00PM. First week didn't observe any changes. But after 2nd week have been losing every week 1kg with 2mg/week Tirz maintenance dose and 350mcg/daily ipa+cjc stack. Training my abs daily and lifting weights every 2 days. I don't push the limits. Just train to be healthier and feel beter. I weigh 74 kgs at the moment. Have mood changes in positive direction and also perform beter sexually. Last one is more related with weight loss and training, I think. Lost 3kg belly fat with the stack+vasting and training. I've attached a picture. Decide your self if anything looks wrong? I don't even remember if I have ever felt myself such good ever beforeView attachment 28935 SW:102kg LW:25kg with 5mg/week Tirz during 32 weeks and 2mg/week during last 4 weeks. Added GHRH during last 18 weeks.
thank you for the informative reply. congratulations man you look great! I just got my cjc ipa no DAC and plan on starting that soon.

Thanks mate. Wish you success with your ipa+cjc stack. One more thing, I have to mention is hunger feeling you will get from the stack. You will get hungry within a few hours after injecting it. Just ignore it and don't feed that monster. After a while it begins te suppress. Then you know that it is getting its energy from fat tissue, because there isn't any other option. After giving a few hours extra time, just eat your proteins. Even if you want, it won't be such a big portion. It is only a few days of suffering, until your body gets used to it. It is normal that GH asks behind energy to build up muscles. Don't give any other choice than fat. That is the point which changes the game.
