So I'm on 2.5mg every 5 days of Reta. Never had much of a sweet tooth or eaten many sweets in general but boy, on Reta seems I wanna just go nuts on sugary junk almost every day. I probably need to up my dose a bit to counter this as I've been at this dose 6 weeks but I notice similar even when I up my dose, though it does improve some.

Curious if this side happens to folks on Tirz?

For me anyway, Tirz shut that down right away.
However, everything I read about Reta, the big shutdown (for people losing weight) doesn't occur the same way and happens at the higher doses. People retain hunger but eat less.
I'm sure someone will pop up with some good answers for you...just thought I'd chime in on the Tirz part.

For some strange reason on Tirz I got the sugar MUNCHIES!!! I love these things. I should buy stock in the company LOL....

Is that just a clever name or are you a pharmacist? Curious
I am actually a pharmacist. But to be very clear , any of my recommendations , thoughts or comments on this forum are simply for entertainment purposes only if you know what I mean...not providing professional advice.

Never had much of a sweet tooth before, but a year on tirz and I have to buy twin snakes every so often even though my overall caloric load is waaay down.

Are you losing weight? If you goal is to lose weight and your are, why increase dose?

I definitely have the sweet tooth on Reta every once in a while (and I was on a carnivore diet for 3 years, so sweets aren't a big thing for me). Currently on 2.5mg of reta as just maintenance and have been here for quite a while. Just helps the fat me keep the fork out of my mouth.

So I increased my consumption of simpler higher glycemic carbs - basmati rice, potatoes, whole grain trader joe's bread (still a simple carb in my book) etc. and this has significantly helped with my sugar cravings. The lower glycemic complex carbs just weren't cutting it for me on Reta.

Interresting.
For me switching to more complex carbs (e.g. oatmeal) 'fixed' this issue.

this question will seem random and out of left field, but do you have allergies? like seasonal (or basically year fucking round like me, I mean, I should be the girl in the bubble)? A time when they get worse, like write now?

I ask bc I'm on 10.5 of tirz, w/a low 3 of survo and up until my allergies decided to kill me in the last month and a half/2, my cravings have have been of the charts.

I have no data. I'm just asking.

Nope, no allergies that I'm aware of for me.
