Every single day I’ve been getting them. They taste so nasty!! I’ve been taking omeperazole for about a month now. I’ve tried pepto, digestive enzymes (papaya), and famotidine. Still they persist. Like every freaking day. I’m eating small meals that aren’t too fatty or heavy. It’s not that painful or anything but it’s annoying and gross!! Anyone have any unusual remedies that I can try? Even just to cover up the taste! I read somewhere pickle juice could work 🤣🤣

They are from the delayed gastric emptying. No real help, just thought you should know.

Try ginger root. Slice it pour boiling water over it let it sit for 5 minutes and sip. Hope that helps 😊

Intermittent fasting and BPC helped with my acid reflux. To the point where I wasn't having to take omeprazole at all. Its kind of a double edged sword though, b/c intermittent fasting also made it very hard to intake enough calories/protein each day and when my hair started shedding I gave up IF. Now I'm back to taking omeprazole every 4 days or so.

I hate omeprazole b/c it has a host of downsides, notably preventing the absorption of vitamins and the inhibition of Vit B 12 synthesis, which is dependent on stomach acid.

I've never gotten sulphur burps from Sema, but I used to get them out of nowhere every few months or so. I still have no idea what was actually going on, but basically I would randomly get super, ridiculously sick for a couple days. I would have the gross burps constantly, heartburn up in my throat, and be throwing up bile.

Obviously it's a different cause, but the only thing I found that helped was just straight up not to eat. :l Understandably that's not great, but especially when it was happening consistently, I would pretty much go on a water fast for three days or so until they went away. The nausea was unbearable and I literally couldn't work when it was really bad because I'd still be throwing up even if I only drank water.

If they're really bad, maybe try protein drinks and electrolytes and see if that helps? My manager at work was also convinced I had something wrong with my gallbladder because she had the same symptoms before she ended up in emergency surgery to get hers removed.

The weird thing is, I haven't had these problems since about a year after I started semaglutide, and they'd been an ongoing thing for maybe five years prior to that. I feel bad for anyone suffering with any of this stuff, it's definitely uncomfortable.

Any time i get any gastric issues i just chug water. Im up north of a gallon plus a day not even trying hard. I have a little bit of bloat occasionally. But also lessens with the more water i drink. Tums are occasional as well. Roadside tacos taught me pepto (specially tablets) is like hunting a lion with a nerf gun wearing a steak tuxedo.

as some will say, eat smaller more frequent meals. but this is a tip ive found helps me.
CHEW YOUR FOOD!
like really chew it. untill its mush before you swallow. it helps the food not sit in the stomach and just rot before it gets processed. its helped me and the friends ive helped get on glps

The changes in gut motility and diet and weight loss and amounts of food eaten are all going to have effects on your gut microbiome. Have not read much in the way of research on sulphur burps but did have it for a few weeks on tirz. It more or less has to be gut bugs generating excess h2s gas, either in the small ( most likely as it is burps, not coming out the other end ) or large intestine. The usual ways of altering your microbiome are diet, fiber and pro and prebiotics. I never found out what caused it in me it just went away thankfully as it was pretty unpleasant. Probiotics or fiber supplements are pretty easy , quick experiments to try for a week or two to see if they work.

This happened to me partly because I have no gallbladder and partly because I've trashed my gut. The experience led into the Gastroenterologists office and to concentrating heavily on restructuring my gut. I avoid my trigger foods (can be different for everyone), intermittently fast, use a regimen of high quality broad spectrum probiotics w/ omeprazole every morning (taken on an empty stomach, wait 4 hours before drinking or eating anything but water). Annnnd I take digestive enzymes w/ ox bile with every meal, I track my fiber intake shooting for more fiber than carbs.

Isolating trigger foods was key! I had to really look at what I was eating. For me the biggest culprit was beef, garlic, and raw onions. Beef takes a long time for me to digest anyways, add to that slow gastric emptying and it was a disaster. I started on metformin to help with A1c and hormonal stuff, interesting side effect- gut motility. It really does help move things along.

When I have burps they come with ridiculous gas as well. Super uncomfortable and frankly RANK! Gas-x for the win. Probiotics helped with the Sulphur flavor. I only eat cooked veggies and white meat chicken for the day of and after pin, less fuel = less potential for gassy issues.

Consistent sulphur burps can be a sign of Giardia and definitely a sign of a disrupted gut biome. You might think about contacting a Gastroenterologist and asking them to analyze a sample. Gut stuff gets really complicated REALLY fast. My GI guy has been irreplaceable on my journey.

Safe travels!

The vitamin deficiencies are so real. After 2 years of daily omeprazole my B12 and calcium were in the toilet. I now have to supplement with subq B12 weekly and calcium every day. Finally having energy again was a welcome surprise. IF is a dietary game changer but so good for my gut. Sadly I almost never hit my calorie targets and have to supplement my diet with protein drinks and vitamins.

Thanks for sharing. Nice to know I'm not alone.

I've had the same issue(plus many more fun side effects) as the OP since I went up to 10MG of tirz. This week I've been hyperfocused on hydration. Low and behold Sulphur burps, gas pain, bloating and stomach upset, are going away. Not really even more fiber but going up to 100 or so ounces a day of water has been a revelation this week. I'm now team drink more water than I ever thought I could lol! Hoping your post helps out OP!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and feedback!!! I’ll definitely be trying some new things and being more cautious about my eating until things level out!!

How long have you been on and what is your dose? Nothing helped for me, even on the lowest dose of Tirz, except for lowering the dose even more and taking oral BPC-157, and time, 6 weeks in now, it's getting better.
