What gives? I started tirzepatide at 2.5 mg/week and six or seven weeks ago and am now up to 3.5 mg/week. It seems like I have heard repeatedly that tirz reduces the desire for sweets. So far, it has had the opposite effect on me. Sometimes/often sweet foods are the only foods that sound good to eat to me.
I don't usually give in to this craving but find it strange. I'm hoping that I will get over it.

I’m still dosing up tirz but in previous weight loss attempts, my sweet tooth meant I wasn’t getting enough protein. I don’t know how the connection makes sense. A chocolate protein shake would scratch the “sweet” itch while giving me protein which actually took care of the craving.
