I've started taking Tirzepatide a few weeks ago. for the past few days I have been getting bowel issues (diarrhea, gas) which may or may not be related to Tirz.
(for context, I had some issues for several days immediately before starting to take Tirz, and I've never taken GLP-1s before this.)
anyway, the bowel issues have not fully subsided but it has been 7 days since my last dose and the hunger's coming back. will taking Tirz now potentially make things worse?

I would take the dose, but I have zero medical training so you might want to wait for others to weigh in. I assume you are starting at 2.5mg?

Side effects usually diminish with time, but you may want to take a look at Reta, since it's known to have less gastric sides (but some other sides instead)

Possibly. I passed out from diarrhea and hit my head on the bathtub roll dispenser, knocking it off the wall. My head was fine. I couldn't stand up. I had to call paramedics. I did have a virus at the time. However, since I never had anything like that before in my 55 years of life, it seems likely that the Zepbound contributed to what happened.

I had this happen in the first week of starting tirzepatide - diarrhea BAD. I was due for the injection the day after it started. For me, I was fairly confident it was in response to the GLP-1 so I held off giving the second dose until the GI symptoms resolved and I felt better which was a couple days later. Even if you are not getting the diarrhea from tirzepatide I would consider waiting on your next dose until things stabilize. Yes, you may have food noise/hunger come back and may think you are delaying weight loss progress, but I think it is more important to make sure your GI system is healthy before adding additional medication.

Ugh.

The struggle is real.

Tirz constipation has resulted in my first ever case of hemorrhoids.

Probably taking a 2-4 week break to get things back to normal.

well... for consistency's sake, I took the 3mg shot this morning. I guess I'll update this thread when my stomach gets better, just for anyone who happens to be reading this. so far I haven't gotten worse.
