Taking your shot every 5 days?

Same

Same. That tirz exhausts me for a day or so 24hrs after the pin. Im still in the prefer tirz club though ill always use some reta too.

I haven't given up on the reta yet, but maybe just as a stack. I think I need some of the glucagon receptor lovin' 🤣. Even at 4mg it's cranked up my rhr. My Oura ring and watch are going crazy wondering what's up with my rhr....

Right before I hit my target weight I was pinning 20mg Tirz every 5 days.

See, that's what I always told myself I was going to do. Crank up the tirz to whatever dose I needed even up to 25mg, but back at 15 through 17mg my weight loss was kinda slowing and I felt like I was stalling out.

What are you on now in maintenance?

12 mg. Tirz. Every 7 days now. It seems to be the "Goldilocks" maintenance dosage.

See, I need to read this, so thanks. I've been on the struggle bus since the end of the year in terms of plateauing. But for probably stupid reasons: I'm still only at 12-13mg of tirz (I don't really care about that little difference especially as the COA fills mean any vial from the batch could be 2-5mg more than the purchased volume - love those overfills!) and feel like I'd be admitting some sort of personal defeat if I give in to the posted max speed limit of 15mg. Like I really, really want to have success with the lowest effective dose. And yet, having been on tirz for 17 months, coming within reach of my goal is a good enough reason to finally do so. It's not a magic number I'm looking for, although I lost almost 40 pounds in that first year, but more so all the "me" that I can still grab and squish as I pin, and that jiggles when I wiggle.

From Jan - mid March this year I tried reducing the tirz (down to 8-10mg) and added in reta starting with 1mg and stopping at 4. Even when I was at the 1.5-2mg with the reta, I hated the sides - GI roulette, elevated HR, cold, crap sleep, etc. I wish reta and sema didn't hate me so much, so I'm still sticking my BFF tirz who has done me no wrong with zero sides.
I'd love to add some cagri but really need to pause my pep purchases for a few months.

Since I have enough tirz to count the years on both hands, I think I need to bite the bullet and just up the tirz. I don't like waking up feeling hungry (even though I thankfully never end up eating as my coffee and water suffice until lunch) and I don't feel as full as I want to when I do eat.

I do every 5 or 6 days... currently bangin 10mg tirz with 6mg reta. Was doing 10mg reta and 6mg tirz but i love getting disgusted by the thought of eating.... not the smartest mentality or healthiest option, but it works for me.
Ayy 10mg every 6 days here too. Not on reta though.

It's definitely not the "healthiest" way to approach it but I feel like I've spent the majority of my life being obsessed with food and thinking about food that it's nice to have that shit shut off for a little bit and find food gross and unappetizing. 😔

I switched to a 5 day schedule, the last two days was killing me on the 7 day schedule. The food noise would creep back especially since I go to the gym everyday.

Since being on the 5 day schedule I haven't noticed that food noise creeping back in.

It's commonly called split dosing.
You have more patience than i do with these posts. Man, this question is asked so many times a day, its almost like there is no search function on the forum, almost like people have a limit to the amount they can read every day so to conserve words they just post whatever comes to mind. If I ignored ever newbie that said " has anyone ever split dosed triz? " would I ever meet any fob newbs what so ever?!?!?!

I try to be passive aggressively helpful. 😂

It's called Eternal September. It started as an influx of people getting online every September (when school starts). Now, it's continuous. A continuous influx of newbies.
This ain't the Sourdough Forum. It's more complex than an FAQ will allow.

I’ve noticed that I always start snaking a lot after 5 days, no matter how high my dose gets, and I’m thinking I might take a shot every 5 days instead. Has anyone explored this?

5 days is the tirz sweet spot for me.

I track my shot dates with a physical calendar and those awesome foil star stickers. I didn't like school and didn't get a lot of gold stars from teachers so now I give them to myself for wellness tasks. 😎

On behalf of teachers- I’m sorry. 😔

I was a gifted kid in a gen-ed classroom who read way ahead in the textbook so there wasn't anything to teach me. I used to do my homework(when I did do my homework) while the rest of the class was handing theirs in. I was bored. They were frustrated and had their hands full with kids who were behind. Just not good for either party.

I wasn't at the higher gifted levels thankfully so I mostly normed out in high school but I still took classes at lunch and summer school to graduate a year early because I was done with that crap. I have never regretted it.

I'm in the "3.5 days" camp, did it on Tirz, now on Reta.

Personally, I didn’t love that for the first few days after the full dose (tirz), I could barely eat or even drink enough… and then for the last day and a half before the next shot, I’d suddenly turn into some famished animal and go for anything that looked even remotely edible.
Do you prefer MJ or Reta? What are the main differences in your experience? Thank you

For me, MJ is way more appetite-suppressing than Reta. I didn't have any notable side effects besides the usual ups and downs from the once-weekly shot.

I started Reta for the metabolic benefits (glucagon effect, energy expenditure). On Reta, I can actually order something other than just a kid's meal or an appetizer when I go out to eat. I can put away a juicy 12 oz (350g) steak if I want 😋.

I split my Reta dose to keep a nice steady feeling throughout the week. On top of that, I alternate and add a split dose of Tirz as a kind of "handbrake" on my appetite.

Right now, I've been running 2x 4mg/week of Reta plus 2x 2.5mg of Tirz for about six weeks. So far, this is the golden combo for me — losing about 2.5 kg (~5.5 lbs) per month.
