Things you haven't eaten since starting on GLP-1....

No alcohol and sweets since I started my journey with Reta. And I don't miss anything.

Before I tried to avoid all the bad things in the supermarket, which didn't work pretty well sometimes. Now, even when my girlfriend buys some stuff I would have inhaled in the past, I don't even look at them now anymore.

I have thankfully never had McDonalds ever again and have no craving for any fast food joint at all it’s amazing. I felt like a fast food prisoner before Tirzepatide but now all my cravings for any fast food have vanished, I think it was more of an addiction. I’m glad it’s gone

I haven’t made alfredo sauce since starting, I don’t eat cereal as desert anymore, or at all really. I also used to love a good popcorn ball. Home made mac and cheese w/bacon. You know what, I really haven’t cooked too much since starting. I have a few foods I eat on repeat. Part of the food obsession was making it I think, and I’ve lost that, it’s really not as important what it tastes like anymore. (By taste I think I mean butter, cream, cheese, fats)

I don't drink or smoke, so that's easy.

PB&J, K-dinner, ice cream, chips, any sauce period, cake, donuts, cheese.....I think I can go on forever.

Spaghetti & pizza.

I've been around it, I've even made spaghetti for my boyfriend since it's one of his favorite comfort meals. Just zero desire for it. My carb demon is quiet 🥲

There's this super ghetto Mom and Pop Chinese food place down the street from where I love where I would order from 3-5 times a week (let's be honest it was more like 5 times a week every week).

I'd order what they call a Big Plate which comes with your choice of fried rice and chow mien and 3 entrees.

I noticed I haven't been there since November which is when I started using Tirzepatide. The thought of going there and ordering what I would get previously makes me sick to think about now.

I LOVE circus peanuts! Most people tend to disagres, though.
I love them too but in small doses. So like maybe 2 or 3 total at a time, and maybe like once a year. It's like candy corn. I like a few around halloween, otherwise meh.

Spaghetti & pizza.
So, this is more of a side effect of bariatric surgery for me personally, because I get VICIOUS dumping syndrome from pretty much any bready carb, pasta, cakes, potatoes, cookies, straight sugar, ice cream, pizza crusts, etc. and even fruit. Maybe one to two small bites, fine, beyond that it's a bad week for everyone. I have found workarounds using my protein powder, and stuff, but I usually pay dearly and violently within a few minutes of eating any of that stuff. It hits like instant food poisoning--violent projectile vomiting for up to a day, and the trots for like a week. My body basically treats that stuff like poison and goes nuts trying to expel it. Now--if I am constipated, I have on occasion, put myself through that hell.

My vice at the time of starting tirz was nutella uncrustables. Yeah. Like a 5 year old. I'd have 1-3 per day. So bad. They're like 200 calories each but they add up when the food noise is loud.

Anyways, a week or two after starting tirz I had a hankering for one and had a few left in my freezer. I got just a few bites in and felt nausea for the first time since starting tirz. I the the rest away and haven't been tempted since. That's a huge win for me, sad as it seems.

What's funny is that since I am in the food and beverage business I was scared it was going to affect me in a negative way. I have decreased the amount of alcohol I use to drink. Never been one for junk food. Sweets for sure, and heavily fried foods.

Peanut butter, and all the butters, I suppose. No more PB&J sandwich for me.

White chocolate the last time I did was the day before I started it, and I threw my guts up the next morning

I just found my selection of high grade pasta from Italy while looking for aluminium foil to keep my steaks warm. Then it came to me. I haven't had pasta with self made pesto since I started my journey on Tirz.

What's would be your answer if I ask you?
Anything fried. It makes me feel so sick now if I even smell fried food 🤣

Pop, cookies, chips...havent really had anything sugary either...I dont have any desire for food anymore, so its easy to avoid all the bad things. I only eat because I know I have to to live.

I've had zero cravings for sweets, pizza, wings, and other greasy food. Reduced desire for alcohol (although bourbons are still hard to resist on the weekends)

A lot! Ice cream, chocolates, junk foods etc. now starting to dislike coffee for real. Now the only food that appeals to me are high protein, simple carbs and veggies/fruits.

Pizza and beer! Just can’t eat pizza or drink beer anymore. In the past, I used pizza as my answer to a question what is your favorite food! Now I’d have a hard time coming up with any food as my favorite!

Snacks, and sugar. I still have a scoop of icecream after dinner ea night. But zero interest in the hand to mouth salty or sugary cookies, treats etc all day long. No stress eating at all which is amazing!!! Reta, 6 weeks in
