“ Gave the rat 2,4 Dinitrophenol at a dose of 400 mg.

Good times were not had by all. The rat (after oral interview) thought that the rat was going to die (for real). Body temperature reached 102.4 by ear, with bad insomnia. Lost 8 lbs in 24h, but likely also due to body water loses due to sweating and increased respiration rates. May have hit the LD 49..... (good thing not the 50 as this experience was SH 0 t). Don't think I should try a second time......
